Crisp vegetable slices rolled in rice and seaweed, delicately fried for a light, crunchy bite.

"First time trying this place. It looks very welcoming from the outside, so we decided to give it a try. To start off, the service is horrible. It was one of the worst services I have ever had. We ordered a total of 4 rolls and 1 hand roll. The only rolls we really enjoyed were the hand roll and 1 regular roll. The rest of them were really bad. I do not recommend this restaurant and definitely will never return. I was very surprised at how many people came into this restaurant with such bad food."

"Love this local spot. The ramen is so good, love the Spicy Miso especially. It's got good flavor but not too spicy. All the rolls have been yummy too! The vibe is anime which is super cute and casual. Service has always been solid even when they are busy. Have been back several times and it's consistently good!!"

"Our local friends recommended this place. As others have already written, the quality must have gone way down, as we trust our friends but they had not been there for a few years. The service is horrendous, at best. Very long waits (even though there was only 3 other tables occupied when we were there dining in), orders messed up, missing pieces and when I mentioned that something was missing, the waiter said it wasn't. I am glad he is right and I am wrong. Three times in a row. Then we got the bill $380 for the 3 of us (me, wife, one small child). The sushi is actually not bad, so I hope the owner is reading this and does something about the service. I won't be back, but others will and they deserve a better experience. Eating sushi is not just about the food. It is also about the service. Too bad as I like to support local businesses and on their website, the story is cool has been around since 1990s, came over from Japan, etc... Maybe the owner does not care anymore or has even sold the place? Is he even around anymore? Not sure, but again, the service is horrible."

"The worst service ever!!if I could I would leave a -10. Got salad and soup after rice and veggies on plate. Rice and steak was overcooked and the scallops were undercooked. Waited over 45 minutes for two sodas and a beer (after we started eating before we got drinks) Waitress never checked on us. No refills. Then waited for another 20 to pay bill. Will never go back, we go for birthdays and anniversary but we are done with this place. Paid over $110.00 for two meals,2 sodas and one beer."

"Standard teppanyaki food and experience. The restaurant itself is very nice, in Redmond town center. Service was good, staff were nice. The chef was not as entertaining as other places we have been to, but it's kind of luck of the draw as it looked like other ones there had more personality. It seemed like every table there was having a birthday, as were we! The food is quite expensive since you are paying for the entertainment element as well, and is fine but is as generic as any other restaurant of this type."

"Caleb was an awesome server, very sweet and on top of it!!! The appetizers (spicy garlic edamame, shrimp gyoza, salad) were great, but I would not recommend the ramen or the sukiyaki. The pork in the ramen was charred and made the whole entire dish taste like charred meat. I have been to Japan multiple times, and have never seen pork in ramen prepared this way. I am not sure how the sukiyaki noodles should be, but unless you like rubber bands, I would not suggest! They have Asahi and Sapporo draft which was an added plus."

"Meals were brought to our table late. One guest did not get his food until all others were done with their meal. They even brought sushi we had ordered after we paid the bill. The food is ok but not worth the steep price. Very nice waitress. The manager did apologize but while appreciated it was of no solace to us."

"We absolutely adore this restaurant. As soon as you walk in, you will be captivated by the warm and spacious ambiance. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, with one of the owners personally welcoming us on both of our visits. They made sure all of our needs and orders were promptly taken care of. However, the highlight of our experience was undeniably the food. Being sushi lovers, we have been disappointed with the quality at other places in the past, but this restaurant exceeded all expectations. We have found our new favorite sushi spot with their fantastic food and exceptional service. We highly recommend giving this place a try, we are sure you will love it just as much as we do."

"I wanted this dinner to be better than it was. The service was so-so, a little disorganized and erratic in terms of timing of delivery of dishes. The pork belly was outstanding. The other warm dishes (salmon and steak) was cool to even cold. The sushi was good, but not spectacular. Hopefully this restaurant can get it together and raise their game."

"I wanted to like this place so badly. It is very cute and stylish with modern decor and upbeat music, but unfortunately this is about the only positive. It was recently opened, and based on the previously stellar reviews we had very high hopes! My friend and I went on a Thursday night at 6:00 just in time for Happy Hour, this is 3 7PM. Every time we go to Sushi, we always start with veggie tempura, and I must say from all the veggie tempura dishes I have consumed from countless places over the years, I was never more disappointed... My first bite was a big piece of sweet potato. It was cut very thick and thus it was cooked, hard and raw. My next bite was zucchini, which was also cut thick, but had the opposite effect, and can best be described as mushy. The broccoli was the only veggie that was boiled properly, but something went wrong with the dough... it was lifeless without crumbling, just so tender. To supplement injuries, the immersing sauce that came with it was completely tasteless. No saltiness or taste... basically brown water. Next we ordered a California Roll and a Philly Roll. The California Roll was just fine. It's hard to fool me, but I definitely had better. But the Philly was terrible, which I think is a pretty basic role. The salmon had a rough color on it and was hard to chew. It had a gummy consistency and did not taste fresh at all. After my first bite, I pulled a fish scale out of my mouth. I had lost my appetite pretty much, but I left anyway because I didn't want to waste food. We basically had to separate each piece and select the bits of bad-looking salmon. In the role there were also visible blue pieces of avocado. The service was good, but not the most attentive. I never got a refill on my water, the dishes were not deleted until after our departure, and the waiter didn't care how the food was. It also took 10 minutes to get the bill with our credit card. This was after I had stacked the dishes for them and had moved them to the edge of the table to make it obvious that we were ready to go. Overall no good experience. We had also planned to order a special role, but after we were disappointed in two basic roles, it was not important to take the risk."

"Honestly, I really enjoy the sushi at Tsunami Sushi. I am originally from the US but have been living here for years. However, there is one issue that I would like to address – they are misleading customers when it comes to their half off selected rolls promotion on Wednesdays and Fridays. As a new customer, when you sit down, they give you the regular menu, which is not half off. This has happened to me three times (at the Jaco and Guchipelin locations). The service is always good, so I wonder if this is something the servers are trained to do. I suggest that Tsunami Sushi clearly display a large sign at the door on Wednesdays and Fridays, and instruct their servers to inform customers that it is half off day and provide them with the correct menu."

"This place is great. The food is good and great value. Normally rolls go for like $15 each but you can have as many as you want for $16 (lunch) or $25 (dinner). We were able to get 9 rolls for 2 people. Sure we could have eaten more but it was night and didn't want to be that full. One thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars was the amount of rice on the all-you-can-eat sushi. It was twice the amount of rice you would normally get on some of them and that fills you up fast. I can understand the reason. You HAVE to eat the rice. Any significant amount of rice not eaten will be charged extra. So if you think you can just trim some of that rice off then you'll be charged extra for it. Also, anything you order you HAVE to finish. No leftovers. Still, if you get even just 2 or 3 rolls, it would be already worth it. This is definitely a great value even with the amount of rice. Definitely a solid 4.5 stars."
