"We just returned from a visit to this restaurant. As it was Restaurant Week, there was a 4 course meal offered for $35. The restaurant was nearly empty and after ordering, we were informed that the credit card machine was not working. Since we had the cash, we decided to stay. I ordered the crispy roll, the Thai Pumpkin soup, and the grilled shrimp with pineapple and the green tea ice cream with fried banana. The crispy roll was just your average egg/spring roll....nothing special. Since the menu indicated that the soup I ordered was spicy, I asked the waitress how spicy it was. She assured me that it was not too spicy, so I decided to try it. After 2 spoonfuls, my mouth was on fire and tears came to my eyes. Needless to say, there was no way I could finish it. A woman, who appeared to be the owner or manager, offered me an alternative. I chose the shrimp wonton soup, which was not listed as being spicy. However even this choice seemed to have traces of red pepper. I then received my entree, which consisted of 4 medium-sized grilled shrimp and about a cup of rather bland tasting rice on top of a thin slice of grilled pineapple. The plate was decorated with a swirl of yet more red pepper sauce! My husband, who normally enjoys spicy food, could not finish the spicy seafood entree that he ordered. They did wind up bringing him a plate of chicken pad tai to make up for it. Finally, the ice cream that we ordered was filled with ice crystals, making me think that it had been thawed and then refrozen. The service was also poor. Even though there were only 4 or 5 tables in use at any one time, there was only one waitress and a helper serving. And there was way too much time between courses and no communication at all concerning my change of soup. This meal was not at all worth the $35 per person. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and do not plan on returning."
