"I recently had brunch at Brim with my partner, and our guest. The meeting was both a personal as well as a professional one. We chose the place because we were looking for someplace special and a little upscale for the occasion. We were hosting our guest. Upon arriving at our table, it became apparent that the tables across from us were not being bussed. Dirty plates and left over food looked as if they had been there for quite awhile. I asked the server to clear them. Some half hour or so later, I asked again, and finally the tables were cleared. Our food came out one plate at a time, to the point where each of us literally ate our entrees alone. Brunch took over two hours just to get our food and eat. We had to leave before my guest was finished for another commitment. Our guest ordered the shimp creole as recommended and described by our server, but was surprised when it arrived, a version of eggs benedict. The server never indicated this in her description. At least the mis-order was taken off our bill without any attitude. My omelet came out late and was badly overdone. We finally received ketchup and hot sauce three quarters of the way through our meal, well after my partner was finished. At no time did a manager come out, check on us. My partner and I eat out a lot, business and pleasure, but this was by far the worst experience I've had in quite awhile. As the bill with tip was over a hundred dollars, not truck stop diner prices, I expected a great deal more. I'm sure the server who remained cheerful was not solely to blame, but clearly training and supervision was missing."

"Just stop scrolling and follow these instructions with the hopes that their experience will be as magical as ours! 1 book the table. eating was fantastic, but don't just book for eating. book for the wonderful service, the atmosphere and the through the looking glass experience of eating on this incredible sound (which we stumbled through happy accident! 2 if you gps them to a gated property and they think ah, apple maps- you have misdirected me again! don't hesitate. the tor is opened. 3 if they pull through the tor and see what a raised private clubhouse appears only to the right, and they think that can not be right, trust me! polizist. no sign? you are at the right place! (at this point we have almost gone. they would have been our loss! go to the large lobby, which not all signage to there 's a restaurant, look through, and see the beautiful dining room with a massive amazing original mixed media piece, table settings designed with carefree, and a personal willing to offer an unforgettable non-tourist culinary experience! did I mention the weeping list? so good! in serious, we have made a reservation because the restaurant was available and the reviews were good at a sight. I encourage her to go because this shady was empty. our party of 8 had the whole restaurant on us at 5:45 clock on Saturday night. we enjoyed a charcuterie plate, grilled octopus, and hummus appetizers. our escaped were all fantastic. Dessert presentation and ingredients were all top notch. the entire experience was perfection. it makes me sad to see something so wonderful face, such a challenge due to lack of signage or frontage. I'm sure people turn around and never pass the front tor to experience this incredible spot. if they are looking for a romantic dinner, they won't go. they even have a private wine cellar esstic. only please take them a chance and visit - they will not regret it!"

"This place was amazing!!! We were a little overwhelmed at first. We came to the mountains for my wife 's 30th Birthday. She exclaimed that she wanted a nice dinner. We are from the Upstate of SC and don 't usually do high class restaurants. We have small children and it just doesn 't work well. But this weekend, Gramsey took the babies. Our waitress was Jay. SHE WAS FANTASTIC!!! Very personable, and knowledgeable of the menu. She could tell we weren 't use to this caliber of food but she never let us feel as though we were eating out of our league. She gave helpful recommendations and took all the time we needed to explain the fancy items on the menu. We ordered the Mushroom Fondue as an appetizer. It came out very fast and was Soooooooo good!!! My wife doesn 't eat mushrooms, but she really enjoyed it. While we were eating it, the hostess came by to check on us and was so polite. Our food came out and looked like art on a plate. My wife had the Pork Prime Rib and I had the NC Duck Breast. Forgive me for not knowing everything that came with the plates. I do know there were pickled veggies. Hers did have spinach, parmesan polenta and mine had lentils. Everything was delicious. While we were eating, the Chef, Tim, came to our table. Asked us how the food was and wished my wife a happy Birthday. He was extremely nice. Then we ordered dessert. I had the Blackberry Wine Cake and my wife had Creme Brule. These were the best desserts ever. Then a young man with a fantastic handlebar mustache named David came by, wished my wife a Happy Birthday. In fact, several of the staff did. Then when our bill came, Jay, our waitress informed us that the Chef, Tim, wanted to buy my wife 's dessert for her Birthday. It was a wonderful experience. One we never thought we would have had when we first walked in. And the view was so AMAZING!!! A painting only God could make. This place is a 10 out of 10 for sure."
