"Our family went here to celebrate my aunt's birthday a few weeks ago and get my grandma out of the house for one of the few times during the Kovid. First, my family can wait a little hard. Not rude, just strange requests and what not. But our server took care of us very well all the time. One of our family members had a injured leg and had to maintain it. The server immediately got us an additional chair, no questions asked. When we sat down for the first time, there was no music that made it a little stupid. We asked her about putting up music, and she immediately put some wonderful Bollywood music videos on her huge TV. She took the time to take over the order and answer questions. It was a lot, but she treated us all with patience, and she was knowledgeable at the food. The food took a while to get out, but we were a big party, so fair enough. But when it did, everything was excellent. They told us what each court was like, how they brought them out, what was helpful as we share everything. First we thought we didn't order enough because it doesn't look like a lot. But we couldn't finish it all and had to take home with us, and some of us are quite big eaters. We were filled and it was all delicious. At the end of the meal we were asked for Dessert, and we answered that we went back to dessert, but when she saw that it was my aunt's birthday, she brought Gulab Jamun with a raspberry choke, one for each of us. That was really nice of her and an excellent way to pack the meal without too much for our later dessert. I could also say that she treated our grandmother with patience and extra respect, which was very nice to see. I also want to say that the two best bad reviews, one complains about the prices and the fact that they have signs of a buffet that they no longer have. With Kovid, food prices have doubled to many ingredients. Everyone has increased their prices. Look at almost any other restaurant. And as for the buffet, the restaurant would probably like to return if Covid ever allowed it again. It's a pretty lame move to write a bad evaluation in a place during the Kovid, especially when the things you complain are because of Kovid. Quality of food and service was not even mentioned. The other bad review says they don't even go because they don't like the reactions of restaurants. Well, they lack because this place was excellent, and we received a great service. Good enough if you want to read reviews and not go, but don't leave a bad review for a place you never tried. It's just stupid. Thanks for the great night, Monsun. It meant a lot to us because we don't get all together anymore. Go on what you do!"

"The place was really quiet, which should have been the first clue, given the massive festival going on literally outside the front door. The sever was completely disengaged, we had to remind them to bring our drinks multiple times. The food was unremarkable, the saving grace was that it was relatively easy inexpensive. When the plates were taken away, the wait staff proceeded to try to wipe down the table while we’re sitting there, leaving a half cleaned smear of sauce on the table while we waited for the bill, which took its sweet time getting to us, given that the only other people in the restaurant were, presumably, the owners."

"Fantastic selection of dishes representing multiple regional cuisines of India. Great naan, excellent vindaloo, and tasty dalai tonight and a fried vegetable sampler to start that was tasty and included paneer cheese, too. The cooks accommodated a nut allergy by putting together a tikka masala sauce for a parry member. Taj Mahal lager paired well will with the spicier dishes. Definitely a do over one to add to the list of frequent visit spots."

"vegan social saffron indian kitchen was a big hit. the place was full! food: delicious eating like the jackfruit halwa that was like a brotpudding. menu: Usually not all vegan (naan brot is not vegan,) but menu is clearly marked. customer service: large customer service at the event. the host really felt like you were at home. Recommended: yes. at the next event will visit this place again!"
"At last, there's a contender to Shalimar near the University of Washington. Their menu is more extensive, and although their prices aren't significantly lower, they offer a lunch buffet that’s a great option for when you're looking for Indian food in a hurry."

"Everything that we ordered was amazing. The garlic shrimp appetizer was the perfect portion of 4 giant shrimp. Then the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were both mild and super flavorful. The cheese naan and garlic naan has a slight crispness that we didn't know was missing from naan that we've eaten elsewhere, but now cannot love without! Really glad we decided to eat here."

"Horrible Horrible worst service. We just went there last Sunday for Mother’s day lunch and it was a horrible service. In spite of making a reservation a week in advance we had to wait for almost 2 hours to get the table. And no one seem to be bothered, almost had to clean our own table and join the tables ourselves. Water was not served on time, food was served cold. Really irresponsible owner and staff. Very very bad please do not ever go to this place."

"I was in this restaurant several times, but, always for get to click food pictures and check them. the best place to dinate with family or friends. one of the best places for Mediterranean cuisine. the ambiente is good. the best is that they get unlimited chai when they order one and its so good. ordered appetizer mazza, main course naan, roti with shimla wiper, paneer karahi gosht and dal fry. mazza was so delicious and was so nutritious. it had falafel-hummus-salad taste. naan and roti quantity is much too much so when they go in a group, they can share it. Shimla distributor was pretty sweet in taste and I didn't have fun as I like a little spicy in my food and I totally forget to mention when I placed my order. paneel karahi gosht was medium spicy and dal fry was thick in consistency and asked her to make it spicy. the gravur comes with pure Basmati rice. finally mango leti and chai."

"This was my first experience with true Indian cuisine and it was a very good one! I’m a huge fan now and will not shy away in the future. We were a group of 16 and they handled our party with ease, bringing our food on time, constantly checking on us and were very attentive. Others in the party who had more experience with Indian food were very impressed and will definitely visit this restaurant again. I highly recommend!"

"quality of food- 5 stars quality of service- 2 star original reserved one table for 16 males per phone. when our party arrived, we got two separate tables for our guests who were not close and saw us as a brain in lights. this was not notified by the herrn on the phone the day before. they have finally put together tables, while all the other mozens in the restaurant enjoyed the show.1 the communication on the phone must be detailed and much improved to avoid this from other guests in the future. 2 the quality of the service could have been improved, as many foods were not supplied, unless our food products originally ordered were expressly asked. the personal seemed overworked and tired when the owner himself was on the floor, which helped out. lack of attention in ordering and not writing the ordering problems, as drinks and food were either missed or the wrong point was brought out.3 the amount of foods did not correspond to the cost paid. can just go somewhere else where quality and quantity is better."

"Okay, so Cindy, I love Indian food, so we're a little biased, but here we are. The owners Alka Omi (which I do not cut the spelling of their name) are so attentively friendly that it is worth going there to meet their wonderful family staff. The food is not good, it is excellent. The side of Brussel sprouts sweet potatoes with cracked coriander and pomegranate was worth it just for this! Amazing! The Aloo Gobhi Palak fresh cauliflower, spinach and potatoes with onions, ginger and tomatoes also winners. Great flavors texture. The Chatpate Chole (Alkas Mothers recipe! Chickpeas boiled with stone salt, darkened cumin, ginger and laurel leaves with tamarind and cilantro was delish! Finally, the Tandoori Chicken bone in pieces was the best I ever had! This place is a jewel! Don't wait to go in a few weeks when we're in Northampton! Thank you. Alka Omi! Mitch Cindy"
