"Service was less than mediocre. There were so many, many wait staff that attempted to correct the many issues we had over the course of our 3 hour dinner for nine including the manager however, none were resolved. Issues include: meat cooked to specify temperature that’s the entire idea of the restaurant! We have been to many Brazil restaurants throughout Houston and always accommodated. From well done med just fine. For some reason; they could not get it straight even after 12 requests over the course of the night by several in our party to several staff/managers. Keeping beverages topped off. They just do not do it unless you ask for it. Then good luck tracking down one of the abundant staff members they have working…idk?!? Bread, sides, desserts…all I can say is get ready to wait; again because you could possibly be finished with your meal before you receive your request. We wait 38 mins for dessert then when we asked the manager about it; within 2 4 mins it was on our table. I am pretty sure it was forgotten. I’m all about giving people grace, understanding Covid related issues frustrations. This was not that. This was inadvertently trained staff and a manager attempting to hold it together. When my husband finally had enough and was embarrassed by the happenings at our party and then being treated like this; the manager said I completely understand your frustration let me talk to my “superiors”? What? Superiors? Wow what are they running there? My husband said no waiting a minute I’m NOT looking for anything free, I’m trying to let you know all the issues we had. That’s it and bring it to your attention. He raced off to his “superiors “ and said he could send us home with some meat. We were astonished because (1) it was already stated we are not looking for anything (2) WHAT, we wanted the food DURING our meal WHILE we were eating, not at home! Anyhow, it could have been an off night; maybe but I’m not sure, I don’t think so!"

"It took me some time to write this review because I honestly didn’t know how to since I rarely have unsatisfactory dining experiences. This was my first experience at a Fogo De Chao, or any Brazilian steakhouse for that matter, so I’ll start with the food—amazing! That’s it. Now for the experience: I expected the customary “have you dined with us before?” from my waiter, but was asked about my drink order instead. Totally fine, maybe after we get drinks? We got our drinks, we got our toasting glasses, the ball dropped, meat swords are going around passing our table, and my husband i are just sitting at the table because we’re confused. From a chain like fogo de chao, I didn’t think I’d have to ask for an explanation of the process. We didn’t see our waiter often, I had to have the hostess retrieve him just to get the check. It’s the new year, everyone’s celebrating, we can understand you’re caught up in the moment have other tables, but I can use one finger to count how many times we saw the waiter unprompted (I had to call him back to get the explanation previously mentioned. When he got to the table he said “last call, what do y’all want?” We were so turned off by that statement we literally wanted nothing but the check at that point. Lastly, we were seated at the end table near the kitchen: that’s such a tight space, my husband was bumped by staff and other diners all night. I was shocked to go around the corner to the bathroom at the beginning of my reservation to see empty tables."

"The El Segundo location is a very different vibe than the location on La Cienega. The dining room is very crowded. I mean packed. Like uncomfortably packed. When they employ outside dining, they leave the door open and it can get cold inside if you sit by the door. When the place is busy, maneuvering around the sides bar can be a challenge given the people and the children who don’t pay the most attention to surroundings. The food is okay. I did note the lack of premium cuts on rotation versus other locations and similar concepts. The chicken legs and sausage was much more frequent then the picanha or sirloin. It was clear that a thorough job is not done when turning tables. During our meal, i apologized to my daughter for what I thought was a errant kick. When she said I didn’t touch her, I looked under the table to find broken glass, utensils and a few napkins. If we were wearing open toed shoes, someone would have been cut and it couldn’t been bad. I spent over $450 on this experience for three adults and one kid, and to be honest, it was not worth it. It seems as if the restaurant was trying to push the cheaper proteins and don’t bother cleaning up the place between diners. It’s about butts in seats to make the most money per seat per night. I love Fogo and I really wanted this experience to be special, but walked away disappointed."
