"FOOD ALLERGY SURVIVORS BEWARE! We made a reservation with the explicit note that my husband has a severe dairy allergy. The inclusion of dairy in dishes on the website is not indicated anywhere, nor are all the ingredients listed, but being a scratch kitchen, we assumed it could be accommodated no one called to let us know otherwise. We arrived for our reservation; we were seated, then after many trips by our server to the kitchen, and waiting for nearly an hour without being able even to order because the chef didn 't want to be troubled to figure out which dishes could be made without dairy, the server finally came back and said the only options were salad without cheese, the salmon entree, or steak and french fries. We were of course quite disappointed, but by then we were starving, so my husband took the recommendation and ordered a salad with just vinaigrette, along with the salmon entree. We were assured there was no dairy in his dish, but clearly, that was not true, and now he has been in bed sick since last night with a severe reaction to dairy. We are experienced professional cooks ourselves, and making accommodations for food sensitivities (beyond gluten free is a standard in the industry. At the very least, if it isn 't the standard of this restaurant, they had a responsibility to let us know before treating us so inhospitably, negligently sickening my husband, and charging us hundreds of dollars in the process. We will not be back!"
