"BYOB! The corking fee was not super expensive (I had too much wine to remember exactly, and I don't think they charged us for all bottles! We arrived on a Tuesday night and this place was full! I was totally impressed. The food portions were generous and not over price and were delicious. I have the Angel Hair Diavolo, full of shrimp and shells. It probably had a little too heavy on the olives for my taste. Some of my friends shared pizzas they ate. Of course there were no remains. I would definitely recommend this place, it is wonderful for a relaxed evening with friends. We sat there for hours and didn't feel rushed at all. Oh, and a big plus, our waters were always full!"

There is a new menu and it is wonderful! Greg Gordon meets another home trip. I'll drive 30 miles to eat here and I'd probably drive my bike if I had to. This is the one place in the city that I can bring friends and family and never have to worry about the quality of food and service. It's stellar every time.

The servers, the busboys, the hosts, the chefs, EVERYONE here is amazing, and the food?! SPECTACULAR! I'm sad they're closing. We really enjoyed our moments. It was a nice neighborhood restaurant. We visited regularly and our services even knew our names and always had a great smile to share! We'll miss her bread, it was the best we ever had! You had the best pizza. My favorite dish there: the rabbit Enchiladas and her big fat Brownie. There is no picture of either bc as soon as they brought the ones they were gone!

La Vista is one of the most consistent tasty restaurants in Houston, suggesting why it has been for 17 years! It is perfect for a girl night out, private party in the backroom / special opportunity or a romantic first date. The surroundings are cozy and funky (big photography). The food is amazing fill Italian classics with a touch of Greg (the cook) to season it! Personal favorite Ravioli with the creamy vodka sauce, chicken piccata (if they go on special), big fat chicken breast (for my friend), pollo pizza, and tomato caprise (if you try to be healthy)!
