"First I want to say Chris, our server, was wonderful! I also want to say we have eaten at Rio Grill some half a dozen times and felt it good enough to keep coming. This time we ordered the Arugula salad that was lovely and light, perfect size for sharing as a first course. We ordered the half slab of pork ribs, the flavor was good but they were the toughest ribs my husband and I have ever had. It came with a slaw that was so-so and the sweet potato chips were rubbery and difficult to chew. Never did I expect chips to be of such a consistency. Wasn’t sure if they had been sitting out for a while, or if they were under cooked, but it was an unpleasant consistency. Wondering if sweet potato fries would be an easier option for the cooking staff? We got laughing about how much chewing was required of the main course and agreed that we were concerned that our jaw would be sore by morning. Again, our server was very good and none of the food issues were his problem. But the food wasn’t worth coming back for. Sadly, we were disappointed."

"We were a large party of 8 and had 4 more joined us at the last minute. They could not have been nicer. They accommodated the extra people and were so pleasant. "I stayed at The Fredrick Hotel and this restaurant is in some building, Ordered truffle pizza and it was perfect but what I didn’t like is altitude of the guy he looks like manager tall guy with tattoos, he was little bit disrespectful with his altitude, when I make order he didn’t say a word just turn around and left table , he barely said what you whant , you can’t be so full of yourself. And coming on dinner with friends, waiter spilled drink on my friend and he was smiling all night, he didn’t even look that he is sorry, and we sited outside, before they close they take all tables and chairs on one place , this guy who was doing that was throwing chairs and tables so hard I mean obvious he whanted us out but that is not how job is done in serious restaurants! I visited far worse places and they had at least better stuff who acted nice and polite!"

"We were so excited to dine here as we’ve been ordering food from Zingerman’s for years. The Roadhouse did not disappoint. Everyone was super friendly. Our wait person, Dawn, was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Our meal was great. I had the American breakfast and my husband had the waffle with grits and bits. I liked his better than mine but my biscuit was amazing. The staff also brought us samples of the Mac and cheese and it was delicious. We had a great time and hope we get to come back soon."

Once we placed the order, it was delivered within 2 minutes. that is a true statement. the waitress said they had made the dinge in advance to assure that they did not withdraw. this will be the last time I go to the breakfast / brunch here. it is more expensive and I think they should expect more from zingerman. very disappointed."

"Delightful experience with very savvy service. We were lucky to have great weather for the rooftop dining, with carefully placed umbrellas , as the wind kicked up.The beet salad with local fresh cheese and quinoa was impressive in the textures and doneness of the baby beets. The oz tenderloin was perfectly done crisp outside and juicy all through. The local bass with chimi sauce was crisp and the eggplant was tender and flavorful with a tangy sauce. Sides of chick pea fries a bit heavy , but the carrots and zucchini beautifully done , and tender. Desserts were also freshly prepared and sorbet was satisfying.Fun vibe, and we will return soon"
