"I didn't know it was in a Hilton hotel when I booked the table. Food and service were fine, but the ambience was so corporate. On the plus side (1) the place was empty so that we could entertain each other, (2) the food was good (3) our server was really nice and polite and came to the right times. On the bottom, if you are looking for a charming Brooklyn restaurant with personality, that is not."

You should be aware that Black Walnut is located in a Hilton hotel near downtown Brooklyn. When we went to the Sunday brunch, the restaurant was closed, but the manager would like to have dinner there. But the food was not bad (although there were no brunch options).

Something went very wrong with Black Walnut or Open Table. They didn't advertise the brunch like on OT and didn't even know we had a reservation. However, the manager and bartender came like Champs to make it right. Hiltons Food/Bev Manager should check what is on OT to ensure that it is correct or only not used OT anymore. The staff saved the day!
