"I'd rather eat dog food than eat the garbage they serve in this restaurant. I don't understand why this place scores a total of 4 stars. The people who eat here are crazy. The first time we ate the sweet potato in the sushi was raw and the sushi was extremely tiny. The second time we got the pineapple frying and it tasted like nothing. Today we decided to shoot this place again and it was terrible. We ordered the Thai red curry dishes and got back undercooked food with this strange twist on the top that resembled yellow gravy. It had a freezer-fired coffee taste, and tasted nothing like curry. It was absolutely disgusting and clobular. Never come back. Three strikes? They're out."

"It's been a few years since we went to East Moon. I forgot how good it was. Everything was done so well. We enjoyed all our meals. And everything was so nicely plated. It really does a nice job. The service was perfect and fast. We will definitely not wait so long to come back."

"What a terrible experience. Feel bad writing this but this was just poor service. We made a reservation for 2 7:30 tonight and when we arrived nobody was at the desk so we waited patiently. After 5 or so minutes a girl came up to us but didn’t say anything about the lack of service or kitchen running behind by an hour. A couple at the bar told us that it is slow and nobody is working the bar or getting food quickly. We waited to be seated after about 15 minutes and then continued to wait and wait and wait. After 20-25 minutes we decided to get up and leave since our waitress never said anything to us or attempted. All we got was that “no-look” passing by the table and not even saying I’ll be right with you or be right back. I get it about being short handed or busy but it wasn’t “that” busy it was just lack of communication and service. Sorry but this is the second time this happened here so we will not be back."

"we used and loved 6$ roll at night on Tuesday. we ordered the mistsuppet and sesame spring salad. the salate took very long to be prepared from any reason, but tasted good. we ordered 3 reels: washington avenue, spicy mango and on recommended by samuel our server, the scallop volcano. everyone was excellent, but we enjoyed especially the scallop volcano. our server, samuel, was very knowledgeable, attentive and very pleasant."

"This was the worst dining experience ever. We had a 7pm dinner reservation and at 7:40pm we were still waiting to be seated. No apologies. Nobody checked on us. We asked to talk to the manager and he didn't seem to care. He said they prioritized and there was nothing he could do. The place was busy so, I guess that's why he didn't care but, with service like that one day it won't. We will never go back."

"Horrible serive and mgmt. I asked the manager to bring me the check as I pulled her on the side and talking to her about how terrible the food and service were but she gave to my wife who just paid them w 20% tip. The server asked me if I wanted all my food now after asking him where are rest of my food after 20 min into 1st dish.. He also asked me if I wanted rice with my Chicken teriyaki when I asked him where is my rice... smh. The sushi was also very salty esp the Dragon rolls. I finally spoke to the Head Manager who didn't want to refund or credit anything for bad service and food... fam had terrible experience. Rest of food were also very very salty. We also had to go grab soy sauce for our main sushi dish from another table that Server took away and never provided us with one. We spent in the past w bad experiences and hopes they did better. Food gotten so much worse and we will never come back again!"

"The food is cheap, good, and has lots of options. Service is reasonable while you are are there, but takeout is a nightmare! They get orders wrong often, and aren't understanding about it when you get something you didn't ask for.If they improve their takeout experience this could be a 4 or 5 star rating."

"The restaurant messed up my order. They gave me vegetable tempura instead of the shrimp I requested. There was no ventilation in the packaging, so everything ended up soggy. The quality of the sushi was mediocre, and the packaging was poor. I do not recommend ordering from here."

"as others have said, the assessments are misleading. eating was at best moderate, bland and extremely overpriced. $20 for garnel and brokkoli, who probably had 6 garnels in it overall. I ordered two entrees and should get 2 orders from reis, one for everyone, and only one. my daughter Californian roll was kind of spicy, what she completely sprinkled out of the sushi is a leak for her that she was happy. overall there are much better Asian take places that are much more affordable. I loved the decor."

"The service was really terrible. We waited 30 minutes to order drinks, another 15 to order food, the waitresses slammed glasses down when refilling water, and were hard to find throughout the meal when we needed an extra silverware set, etc. I've been a server for years and understand how difficult it is when you are short staffed and busy, but the solution is not to (A) overseat and overwhelm your staff, front or back of house, or (B) to ignore your tables. The food was good, so it's a shame that the service was so poor. The waitress completely missed 2 items we requested and it took so long to order/track her down, it wasn't even worth bringing up."
