"I caught this place on their last day of the season. Which may sound crazy, considering it was packed, and there are many warm days left; however, the workforce shortage (heightened in this area has, apparently, left staff overworked and exhausted. Some of that leaked out, and they all looked pretty spent. I was glad that I stopped, however, as this turned out to be the best $6 that I have spent in coastal Maine in years. Six dollars gets you next to nothing around here, these days my last cappuccino in town was around $5.50 (extra shot . Hamburgers seem to start at $15, for the norm. Yet, I bought a 2 veg topping (seen in pic , 10 New York style pizza for six bucks. And it was ready in five minutes, during a crushing dinner rush. Pretty astounding. As for the taste...solid. The dough was soft, smelled nice, a little light on flavor. Not at all greasy (bonus! . The toppings tasted fresh, and the cheese was standard fare, and more plentiful than the sign warned. Which said, that for the $6 pizza, the toppings and cheese were lighter/fewer than the norm; but, honestly, I wouldn't have wanted more, if offered. It was a nice balance, as is. The sauce was OK. It either had in it, or the pizza was topped with, that basil that tastes more like mint (same family than a robust basil flavor, which threw off the overall taste, somewhat. And I couldn't shake the recurring sensation that I was tasting toppings other than the ones I had ordered which was slightly unsettling. Still when I think, historically, of the total garbage I have stuffed in my face, because it was cheap...this was divine, by comparison. Honestly, I wish I had the option to give this place 4.5 stars, for the value alone. However, though I greatly appreciate the good, cheap eats, it was not a 5 star product. Really, how could it be for that price? Still, compared to the artisan pizza down the road, at twice the cost and wait, this holds its own. Wish they could be open longer this season but my waist is relieved."
