"I caught this place on their last day of the season. Which may sound crazy, considering it was packed, and there are many warm days left; however, the workforce shortage (heightened in this area has, apparently, left staff overworked and exhausted. Some of that leaked out, and they all looked pretty spent. I was glad that I stopped, however, as this turned out to be the best $6 that I have spent in coastal Maine in years. Six dollars gets you next to nothing around here, these days my last cappuccino in town was around $5.50 (extra shot . Hamburgers seem to start at $15, for the norm. Delicious! We loved everything we ordered last night. Super covid friendly lunch or dinner spot. We'll be back!

I had the Haddock Ruben and my wife one of the personal sized pizza specials. Both were very good. Very helpful wait staff. Quiet place off Main Street's loud and busy beaten path. Appropriately spaced outdoor picnic tables.

Love this place! Coming for years for their seafood especially the haddock, clams, and calamari. Huge portions and excellent quality. Hand made onion rings can't be beat. This year my husband tried the steak n cheese sub and said its the best in the state. We do want to try the creative pizzas but its hard to tear away from our favorites! I'd like to see another seafood dunking sauce added (besides tarter) as a future option ..

"Best fish and Fry's in the state of Maine. The fish is fried very lightly which I really enjoy. Love the flavor of the fish and crispyness of the fries. They have to excellent sauces for the fish. Dill and tarter sauce. Both are great but the dill sauce is my personal favorite. Bet the owner of this restrant workers with her daughter to run the business. Bets sibling catch the fish fresh every morning and fry it that day. If your in Both Bay you must stop here. I assure you it will be an experience that you will never forget. Do be careful of the hours though. The restrant is only open for lunch from 11 to 2, and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. She often sells out of fish before 2pm though because it's such a popular place so do be aware of that. Overall just an excellent place. Definitely will be returning."

"I'm from Texas and have never had a lobster roll in my life. I looked up this place because it was close to hotel. The people were so friendly and helpful and even though we could hardly understand each other due to me speaking Texan and them speaking Yankee, they seemed to have fun helping this Texan experience the Maine staple. I highly recommend it!"

"My (now) husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at The Patio at 1578. I couldn't have asked for a better rehearsal dinner. Everything was absolutely perfect. Mark and Kim worked with us to create a wonderful family-style Italian feast for our around 30 guests. We arrived around 5:30 and started off with delicious cocktails. We had 3 hors d'oeuvres (bruschetta, lamb chops, and arancini) which were all delectable and served on trays. The main course was a summer salad, bread, and three family-style dishes: tagliatelle bolognese, risotto milanese with shrimp, and fettuccini carbonara. For dessert we had a fruit preserve filled ice cream coated in chocolate. Mark and Kim were so accommodating to those with special dietary restrictions. It was the perfect menu for us, the perfect atmosphere, and the perfect evening. I can't wait to go back for more of their delicious food and excellent service! Thanks so much Mark Kim!
