"Our daughter attended Clemson from out of state and we fell in love with Greenville. It is a beautiful city filled with wonderful restaurants. We have never had a bad experience until we decided to celebrate her latest birthday at this restaurant. She remained in Greenville after graduating We have visited many local establishments. I waited two days after our experience to give myself time to give an honest review. We did have reservations on a Thursday evening at 7:30 pm. The restaurant did not seem especially busy. We were greeted by a hostess that seemed confused. Once we were seated our waitress was less than pleasant. We attempted to make our experience positive despite the inattention of our waitress and her obvious annoyance. Luckily another waitress stepping in. The table next to us turned twice and we were still struggling to make the best of the evening. I ask another waitress to please do something for my daughter’s birthday. She stated they could do a small desert with a candle and would pass the info to our waitress. This occasion was also listed on our reservation. After 2.5 hours our waitress handed us the bill. At this time I requested my daughter’s step outside and ask to speak to a manager. The manager promptly told me they were busy! The food was good and I do not mind waiting for a good meal. If there are delays communication is the key to good service. Unfortunately the management and staff did not communicate or apologize for the lack of service. Please know this is not an establishment meant for special occasions. I deeply regret choosing it for our youngest daughter’s birthday dinner. My oldest daughter flew in for her sister’s special day and insists we did not receive the service we saw others receive because their father was not with us. The next day we had dinner at a restaurant worthy of Greenville’s reputation to celebrate. It was the first time in six years we have been disappointed in an encounter in this beautiful city. The response of the manager was unacceptable and unapologetic despite my obvious distress over the situation. A kind word and genuine concern would have gone a long way to rectify the situation."

"Hey there, fellow foodies! I'm here to tell you about my experience at Purple International Bistro, a cozy and eclectic restaurant that serves dishes from all over the world. If you're looking for a place to spice up your taste buds and have some fun with your family, this is the place to go!My wife and I decided to take our kids here for a special occasion, and we were not disappointed. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively and colorful. We started with some appetizers, such as the crispy spring rolls, the hummus platter, and the cheese fondue. They were all delicious and perfect for sharing. My kids especially loved dipping the bread and fruit into the gooey cheese. Yum!For the main course, we had a hard time choosing from the many options on the menu. They had everything from burgers and pizzas to curries and stir-fries. We decided to go for a variety of cuisines, so we ordered the chicken tikka masala, the pad thai, the mushroom risotto, and the lamb shank. They were all cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. My favorite was the lamb shank, which was so tender and juicy that it fell off the bone. My wife loved the risotto, which was creamy and rich. My kids enjoyed the pad thai, which was sweet and spicy. And the chicken tikka masala was a hit with everyone, with its creamy and aromatic sauce. We were pretty full by then, but we couldn't resist trying some of their desserts. We ordered the chocolate lava cake, the tiramisu, and the baklava. They were all heavenly and decadent. The chocolate lava cake was ooey and gooey, the tiramisu was light and fluffy, and the baklava was crispy and nutty. We savored every bite and licked our spoons clean. We had a wonderful time at Purple International Bistro, and we can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the price was reasonable. If you're looking for a place to treat yourself and your loved ones, you should definitely check out this gem of a restaurant. You won't regret it!"
