"This place houses a unique, different style of eatery found here in Marlboro. The restaurant reminds me of Hoboken or Jersey City. I respect how they have pictures/paintings of the remembrance of 911 stand boldly. But as always, my main focus is the quality and worth of the food. For an appetizer, we were drawn into ordering the Manzo Al Pepe Nero, which was divine and well presented! The pesto was flavorful, and the meat and bruschetta together with lemon- it's a big fat yes from me! Now any appetizer may outshine the entree, but it kept getting better. For entrees, we fixed ourselves on the lamb and penna shrimp vodka. Let me describe how pleased my tastebuds were. The lamb was perfectly seasoned, with a crispy layer that added more flavor. One note was the lamb came out cold but was quickly fixed and not overcooked. The mash potatoes were bright purple, light, and fluffy. The asparagus, god, the chef nailed them. They, too, held the consistency of perfection. They were crisp, well roasted, and beyond well seasoned. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and you can tell the cook seasoned during the boiling process. The sauce was creamy, rich, reminding you of comfort food. The only odd thing was shrimp in the pasta were minis. Regardless, my heart and taste buds were filled with pure bliss. The meal totaled about $88! I?m sorry, but have you heard of excellent quality for that price? I beg to differ? our server was friendly and knew the menu to a T. Impressive is an understatement. BYOB."
