"Together with our friends we have booked a “seedy beer tour” through a bit, measurable diplom, where we came to taste through all kinds of gastrosen and get to know the most diverse Saxon beer varieties, but also learn more about the history of the Saxon brewery. after a tour through the meißner old town and a trip to the albrechtsburg we were all quite hungry. but also the organizer had thought about it, and so our last station was the "gasthaus zu altstadt" in the heart of meißen. this is a rustic restaurant, rustically furnished, which offers mainly Saxon food. but also for the tourist who do not want to eat so dedicated is thought. I'd rather have forgotten the potatoes, I'd rather have had a good fresh bread. the herb was apparently made. not like the eternal weed in other gastroses. hearty, sour, with abundant cumin. the fresh, sharp sea radii and also the sharp farmer's pale fit perfectly to the hot. here again the fresh möhrenraspel and the small tomate. we were served by the chefin. friendly, a cute word on the lips, flotts and always with the eyes on the hospitable. We never had to wait long for the beer feed. the house and the toilets were neat and clean. there's nothing to mock. Conclusion: the hearty, smiling kitchen. the wetin with the mouth at the right place. the restaurant rustic and cozy. they have fun!"

"Our first visit to the Meißner Christmas market at all also led to the fact that we got really decent appetite for a piece of cake cake cake. Then, by chance, Café Ziegler was on our way from Albrechtsburg and the Cathedral to the Christmas market. Did we have a choice? No, we didn't. So, as the youngest in the round, I was able to quickly climb up the few steps and risk a look inside as a family spy. The decoration on the wall recalls the performances of the company, with master letters and awards and many typical industrial utensils. Mutti warned us that she knew for years the reputation and popularity of the Meißner Café. She should be right, it was tight, damn tight with seats. But why shouldn't you be lucky too, because when I was about to turn off, a family was up. So I could, because as the only guest looking out without haste and totally free of violence, conquer the table. In the meantime, the rest of the family stood at the vault and grunted what a culinary delight on whose plate should be destined for consumption. This is also bad in Saxony's cafes, such a large selection of great delicacies. For us a piece of mansion, a piece of chocolate cake, a piece of poppy cleats and a piece of marzipant cake were then tabled. I'd rather have tried all the cakes and cakes, but I shouldn't have eaten for two weeks.... And how tasty the cakes were must be enough to prove that there is no crumb left. The added coffee then tasted really good. Then half an almond cleat and a poppy pie had to believe not to be eaten here but at home. Incidentally, there is a true story about the famous “Meißner Fummel” here, a delicate slightly fragile pastry that is supposed to have arrived around 1710. The courier of Friedrich August I. von Sachsen, better known to us as August der Starke, was fond of the Meißner wine before or on his rinds between Meißen and Dresden. This was disapproved by the Saxon Kurfürsten. Since he called for a list to stop him without a ban. He read the baker tonnage to produce a slightly fragile pastries. The only requirement here is that the baking process is heat-resistant enough to survive without prejudice to the baking process. A great idea, right? Common companions were peperoni, olives, tomato and salad cucumbers. Everything on the plate tasted me and was a high average. For the Hall of Fame of the Mezedes, however, it was not enough for any of the test subjects. The combination of beef liver, lamb chop and gyros, in the Golden Ring called Dionysos cellar (11,50 €), had done it to me for my main course. On the map I had seen the herb salad I chose instead of the standard salad. But it was first brought and could be considered before it was exchanged as desired for the herb salad. That was good, because the standard salad with dominant iceberg salad and industrial dressing is a rampant evil in the Greeks. My herb salad with good carrots was a bit too raw. The tasting revealed that it was the slightly sweet metaxas sauce which acted on me as a convenience product, almost like a heated cocktail sauce, at least in color it was very similar to the salad sauce of the supplemental salad. So I left my fingers off after tasting. The portion sizes very neat. Pepper and salt or other menagen on the tables are false indications, but my well-launched serine brought the requested pepper mill to fade. The following applies to the food: Top average and therefore rated 3.5 stars. Ambience: The Golden Ring is undermined in a historic building in the old town of Meißen.
