"Our server, Jerry, seemingly tried to scam from each couple in our group. There were couples at our table, each ordered the Prix Fixe dinner (approx. per couple plus a drink). After dinner, it was not unreasonable to request separate checks, especially when the bills were over each. We’ve been there as couples, and separate checks were never an issue, so one additional ticket should not be too much to ask. However, Jerry said "We don't do that here", and said we can pay cash or charge. He took our charge cards and each of us received identical charge slips each. Think about that, two dinners at came to for each couple. We did not receive a detailed receipt to see why, only a total of plus gratuity hand written at which is OVER and an overall total written in at (doesn’t add up). I didn’t see on the menu where it states parties of or more are charged a minimum of Worse yet, he hand wrote a total of which is or over our total before tip. When we asked Jerry why, he got nervous and said his cashier made a mistake, and proceeded to cross out the and correct it to He blamed a cashier, but his handwriting is the same as the original bill, so HE was the “cashier” he attempted to blame. He became very nervous and quickly walked off with the slips. Had we not called him out, he tipped himself over plus another padding (times couples for a tip he wrote for himself). Interesting that he suggested cash payments, which if he is dishonest gives lots of opportunity to manipulate what is taken in cash vs what is actually entered into the cash register. The incident seems premeditated. As for service, we placed our orders at and received our entrees at not justifying a tip. We've gone to Ciera multiple times and have enjoyed the food and service (from John). But with a server that appears dishonest, we will never return"
