"We stayed at the Wan Bao family for dinner. We had a table reserved. The restaurant was well visited. It was sturdy. We were very kindly received and accompanied to the table. It was immediately asked for our drinks request and the menu was served. We didn't have to wait long for the drinks. That was Ruck Zuck. The selected dishes were also served very quickly. The food was really amazing! Great. The staff came back to the table and wondered if it tasted us when everything was okay. Very friendly and attentive. The portions of the dishes are plentiful, fresh and tasty, the price temperates. This is for us the best China restaurant in the whole region and is 100% recommended. Wan Bao, we're coming back! You're really top!"

"After the long morning visit to the bibliothek and the schoss in Wolfenbutten, we found a peaceful place for lunch, 100 m from the schloss. Lunch was served until 15:00. We were very happy with a quick lunch of 45 minutes. A menu of 100...choices, easygoing taste in combination of Vietnam, Thailand and German cuisine, clean, nice family setting in a small, pleasant street, quick and hot served...are positive points made my family comming back for dinner. Dinner was served untill 23:00. We came around 20:00 and stayed for almost 2 hours tasting nice soups, spring rolls, salat and tasty beef. Thinh, name of the Vietnamese Cook and Mong, the Thai Cook were very talented in meeting our demand for asian and german ingredients, herbs. Highly recommended for family lunch and dinner."

"I visited Da Giovanni I went to this restaurant on a recommendation. There were not many diners present but it still took inordinately long for anyone to come to the table. The wine was fine, when it finally arrived, the bread was unexceptional and...some dried surfaces suggested it had been sitting out and uncovered for a while. The canned olive oil was nondescript, and the balsamic vinegar cloyingly syrupy, sweet, and completely lacking in character and squirted from a a plastic bottle. Little care was taken putting together the arugula salad, and it was far heavier on the tomatoes than it was on the arugula. One of the specials was a ravioli dish stuffed with local mushrooms in a mushroom sauce, unceremoniously ladled onto the plate, again with no attention to presentation. It was excessively salted, and I daresay that I experienced a very unpleasant reaction to it later that night. Everything took an excessively long time to show up, was mediocre to poor when it did, and in the end we had to fetch the server in order to get the bill. Once the bill was paid, the server a different one asked almost as an afterthought if we wanted some grappa. Not before or with the bill, but after all was said and done. I have been coming regularly to Wolfenbüttel for years and more, have spent a great deal of time in this town, and can honestly say that this is the most disappointing meal to date. Won't be dining there again. Not recommended"
