"I can't recommend Big Slide enough! We were visiting from out of town and happened upon it by chance and I'm so glad we did!! The atmosphere is chill but classy, the staff is wonderful, and the brews and food are out of this world!! Their flights have such a great variety, and when I tell you their steak with peppercorn sauce is the best steak I've ever had in my life... omg. I think I'll dream of it forever. Everything we tried was delicious but that steak... I'm counting the days until we go back! ?"

We really enjoyed our dinner here. Got the buffalo vegan chix pizza and almost all their other pizza’s can be made vegan which we did for the mushroom one. We also orders the vegan carrot cake but I forgot to take a photo before we ate it! The food was a bit heavy and greasy but a nice option for the area that doesn’t have a ton of options.

Fantastic Food! Our family stopped at Big Slide for lunch and some beers on Labor day 2021. We always stop at local breweries when traveling, and Big Slide is definitely one of our favorites. We chose crowlers after sampling flights. Our meals were absolutely delicious. DO NOT MISS this unique menu. See pictures. We would come back to Lake Placid just to eat and drink here. Highly recommended.

Big Slide is a favorite of ours when we come into Lake Placid, especially on IRONMAN weekend since it's right on the bike/run courses. I love that they have clearly-labeled vegan and vegetarian options. This makes it a great place to go with groups, since there's something for everyone. The Vegan Buffalo Chicken Pizza FAR exceeded my expectations and was SO delicious. I ordered it twice over IRONMAN weekend...it was that good.
