"We were very excited to visit Chef Mike’s, as we heard it was one of the nicest spots in Seaside Park. Unfortunately we thought it was overpriced and very mediocre. We had empty glasses that just sat on our table, and constantly had to flag our server to get their attention. We ordered several things, but the only item that we really liked and thought was unique was the Creamy Crab Bisque. My husband had the lobster special which was $60, and was nothing you could rant about. The whole experience didn’t feel like a fine dining experience, but you pay fine dining prices. Our meals looked fabulous! Staff was great, fodd was good except that 2 of the 4 scallops needed 2 more minutes on the stove. They were cold on the inside, great sear just cold. $45 for the meal....we did let the server know. They were willing to re-fire a new set but we already waited 30 min for this. Overall it was good, my wife's steak was perfect, the corn risotto was great.

Spent our 10th wedding anniversary dinner there tonight and it was absolutely incredible. The rack of lamp entrée and the roasted garlic appetizer both came highly recommended. So we ordered both and my wife got the filet mignon and from apps to the dinner to the cocktails and dessert it was all amazing. The restaurant comes highly recommended and did not disappoint. I'm so over all these high end restaurants who claim to be the real deal, Chef Mike's is no BS and is truly the real deal.

The young hostesses were excellent and very pleasant. We had the hot appetizer sampler which was good, but no wow factor. Dinner was also good (and the food was definitely fresh) but not worth the price point. The risotto was lukewarm at best and although the filet mignon was perfectly cooked, it was under seasoned, as were the vegetables. The lobster tail was undercooked and the accommodating staff brought us a new one. The pasta dish was excellent and the scallops were also perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our waitress was lovely but the prices did not match the food.
