Cranky Pat's Pizzeria Pub

Cranky Pat 's Pizza is everything you can ask in quintessential pizza. Great fresh ingredients, freshly made crust, delicious sauce. I might be a little biased. To grow a few blocks from this restaurant (at the time Frank and Pat 's) should be the pizza. It's been a while since I had a chance to return, but it's still the fantastic pizza I remember from my childhood.

Every area has their pizza rivalries my Neenah area vote is Cranky Pat’s, not the “other one”. I love the fresh toppings and thin crust plus the pizza oven flavor. Seven of us went for dinner on a Friday. We were too early for the buffet but mostly wanted pizza anyway. It was busy but not crowded and we were able to be seated right away. Our server was super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We shared 2 custom pizzas and 1 Pat’s Special Pizza. The order was correct down to half toppings. A couple of us added soup salad bar. It doesn’t have a huge variety but you don’t get the feeling anything is missing either.

Nostalgia and long history of pie slinging here for the locals. I am not a local so there's no nostalgic effect but I respect and appreciate the history (see Frank's Pizza, the start of this whole thing a half century+ ago, in Appleton; where my in laws had been going to for decades until they closed, very sadly). Really cool pizza oven from the 50s still in operation. It's a solid pizza but not worth the price, IMO. One large all meat pizza is almost $30. Really great blend of flavors with a multitude of meats, very thing crust. For the most part, you get what you pay for with pizza this blows any chain pizza joint out of the water but still overpriced, I think.
