"Wanted to get Thai food for lunch before visiting a family member who was in the hospital. Initially decided to stop by the other Thai place next door but was literally blown out of the dining room b/c the owner was using what looked like a leaf blower to blow the dust out of his dingy and dark restaurant — mind you this is 10 min after the posted opening hour. He also rudely told us to get out of the way and wait outside until he was done. Love, love, love this place! Every experience has been pleasant. The food is spot on and the atmosphere is quaint. No frills, good prices great food. I highly recommend this place.

I am obsessed with this joint. As soon as you walk in you get clean tables, fast and friendly service and not to forget very delicious food. Their house fried rice is super delicious and the right amount of spicy that I love, I will come back here every chance I can get. P.S whoever takes care of all those beautiful plants, you’re a plant fairy :

Their spicy papaya salad and all curries are delicious! However, order it on Uber eats or to go if you want typical Thai portions. I originally tried it out through Uber and was so amazed so I finally went to there for dinner. The portions are so tiny for the amount of money that they charge!!! The service is great, they just need to make their customers feel like they are not wasting money on portions inside the restaurant! On another note, if you truly want “Thai spicy” mixed with great recipes, this is the number one place in Winston or any surrounding areas!!! Other restaurants don’t live up to the heat!

"I have yet to try another hibachi in Winston-Salem that tops this one for me. Kimono is a staple! There are several locations around, including Clemmons, Welcome, and Kernersville, but I'm most familiar with this location. 9 times out of 10, I usually opt for takeout, because hibachi is just one of those meals that is easy to grab and go. If you're going that route, this location does a high volume of takeout, so they've got it down. They're always pleasant on the phone, and I've never had my order be incorrect. And let me tell ya, I get a LOT of takeout from Kimono. I wanted to grab something prior to grocery shopping, so this particular instance I decided to dine in. My mom and I split the Kimono for 2, which is honestly a stellar value. It's $34 total, but this gets you a TON of food. It comes with chicken, steak, shrimp and scallops. No decision making needed here! You can also do rice or noodles, and I love having that option. Both are delicious! You can also do hibachi, teriyaki or spicy teriyaki. I can't remember if you get soup or salad or both, but I know I walked away with another full meal. They do a really nice presentation too. The scallops have a nice little sear, the steak is tender, the chicken is flavorful... it's just good food. This comes out to under $20 a person and I just really don't think you can beat the portions and the prices. The service is always prompt and friendly, and they're good about accommodating bigger parties. I often see a lot of families, so it's definitely family friendly. The parking lot is behind the building."

"The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, but I have had issues with receiving the drinks I order 90% of the time. This is not a problem I encounter with other Doordash deliveries, so it seems that there may be an issue with how La Carreta prepares delivery orders for drivers."

"We had a nice culinary experience on Christmas Eve. The only problem we had is that a few items we were looking forward to order are not on the menu, like the Shrimp Grits and the Peace Chicken, which I expected to be stacking the restaurant. Nevertheless, we had a good time and the service was very good."

"First time eating here. New to the area. I give the food here 3 stars. Dishes were too fishy for my taste and maybe had too much vinegar as it was a lil vomit-y tasting. Drunken noodles are typically my fav but they were a let down here but I?m used to the city, where food is on point. One real issue was the scallops on the fried rice. They were not cooked through and were raw in the middle.Through them on the skillet for a bit longer. Maybe I got the cook on a bad night(Friday night) so maybe I?ll give it another try after the next place. Any recommendations chime in!"

"I first tried River Birch Lodge because of the large gluten free menu. They were out of the GF chicken tenders, which was disappointing, but the food I did get was delicious. I love Brussels sprouts when they are cooked well (well done) and these are some of the best I've ever had. The french fries were also really good. I've never had a rum cake before and it had a unique flavor to it, but it was delicious. Most importantly, I didn't have any gluten reactions to the food. I don't live nearby, unfortunately, but now I try to stop by any time I am in the area. I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for delicious gluten free options."
