"we decided to eat during the traditional goose season in november and December in fronhof. After we had many disappointments in düsseldorf, we decided to try fronhof in meerbush. the best decision ever! the restaurant is original with a very beautiful Austrian design that reminds us of après ski. the proportions were greater than expected and of excellent quality. the dessert (Kaiserschmarn) was simply sublimed. Once they sit, they are served with a delicious brot that appears handmade. as they see from the pictures, we had a suppe with geese and gooseberry on kartoffeln for starter. as a main course we both went for the breast of the geese with red cabbage, knödeln and a baked apple in jus...

a simple Austrian feeling for the restaurant with lots of wood everywhere. Excellent cold, thick (unusual, but welcome) and perfectly cooked rarely as desired. starter was also perfectly cooked and presented and overall a beautiful place in a charming old world location.
