"Haven't eaten here in over 10 years, but I remembered how good it was. Came to celebrate my mans birthday. Packed, packed, packed. Got to our seating, but it was a table for four, but with a wheelchair needed it a tad bigger, but we made it work. We had an awesome waitress, and she was very sweet. Everything was perfect except a steak that was super overdone, but the manager apologized and made up for it even when we said it was fine. They came out with a candle and dessert, and we had such an enjoyable night. The food was delicious. They even was awesome with my food allergies, and they followed my request to a t. They even scattered happy birthday confetti on the table."

Went for a meal to celebrate a good friend’s anniversary. I have never been here before but everyone raves about the steaks so I was game. I have the Kansas cut steak and salted potatoes. It was definitely up there in my favorites! I will definitely stop by again.

We Went there for the first time yesterday to have my birthday dinner. The min we walked in they greeted and wished me a Happy birthday. They decorated my table with birthday confetti. I felt special from the moment I walked in till the very end when they gifted me my carrot cake. My server Michelle was the best! Food and drinks were great!! My steak was cooked just how I like it. No complaints and can’t wait to go there again.

We dined in for a special occasion and it was a wonderful experience. The food was great. The service was wonderful. All around an excellent experience. everything was delicious Calamari appetizer Grilled vegetables Seafood mixed Grill Halibut special. Kids menu Filet mignon with fries Slider with fries. Stefan our host was excellent. The reception folks upfront were also very professional. this location is exceptionally well run. J. Gilbert is a steak and seafood restaurant in Glastonbury.

"I recently was in Heirloom to grab breakfast and I asked if they made cupcakes to order for my daughter's 6th birthday party. I've heard their pastry chef was wonderful. My daughter has dietary restrictions so finding someone who can make gluten free vegan cupcakes that taste out of this world isn't easy, but Gena their pastry chef did! And color coordinated the frosting to the party decor naturally and without artificial flavoring"

"I feel like we've been there a little early for hibachi, we sat down and there were no one on the side of the restaurant. but made for a few nice pictures! soon the tables began to fill. we sat with a few other groups at our table and then started the show. for beginners we had the usual suppe and salate. (which are both delicious and we ordered the california roll. perfect amount of crab and avocado. Finally, the main course was fantastic. the steak was cooked to perfection and the sweet, huh, rice and noodles were perfectly portioned and delicious! and finally the waiter and the chef were phenomenal friendly and attentive."

"Be cautious of the charges for your order at Wang's restaurant. They initially total up your items on a slip attached to the bag, but then re-calculate the order when you arrive to pick it up. I noticed discrepancies in the total amount charged on a few occasions, where I was overcharged by a small amount. This inconsistency should not happen, regardless of the difference in amounts. While the food is decent, there are some issues to note. The egg rolls are overcooked and difficult to cut, and cabbage is used as a substitute for other vegetables. When ordering a broccoli dish, I expect to receive broccoli as the vegetable. I also found a carrot piece in one dish, which another reviewer claimed was rare. The pasta in the dumplings is thicker than other restaurants, but the sauce is delicious with hints of orange or citrus. The abundance of onions in the Pepper Steak dish overwhelms the intended flavor; adding green peppers would be more appropriate. I no longer order this dish due to the excess onions. Overall, I have not encountered these issues at other takeout restaurants."

"I think they thought my friend and I were on a date. We requested separate checks and the server really didn't interact with me for the rest of my meal. Very bizarre experience especially since my friend doesn't believe in tipping. ??‍ The food was good, but I don't think I'll be back."
