"Being Mexican and from Los Angeles this place should really be a 3, but the food is good and it's BYOB so that gets it a 4. There was a misinterpretation of my order, I was going big with 6 tacos, they sell them in 3s at $7.50 a set, you are only allowed to chose one meat. So the misinterpretation was they gave me 9. But when God gives you lemons... You run to store and get beer to go with them. So I got 3 chorizo, 3 asada and 3 al pastor. The meat quality was on point, they also low carb it with 1 tortilla rather than the 2 you get in the west coast. So where they went wrong? If you want authentic basic byo Mexican then this is your spot. I'm not a big fan of spicy or beans so I played it safe and ordered a quesadilla. Man, I sure did enjoy it compared to the typical chain restaurants. If you're a plain girl like me, then you'll be okay here. It also works for someone who wants something with more zing. While you're at it, order a melon water because for $3.50 it was absolutely delicious and enough for two people. The cons: cash only (use the atm across the street), slow service (although very friendly), small eating space and decor could use an upgrade.

Yes, it's not a fancy place. Yes, it's very much a family owned business. Yes, you will leave smelling like tacos. No, you will not regret coming here. Oh man, $10 for 4 tacos and all homemade? I enjoyed every moment of trying my each unique taco and can't wait to come back for more. There's such a vast menu (found in some of the pictures on Yelp) of more than tacos. But I can promise you, they're all authentic. They have nice Mexican colas in the fridge and only sell water bottles. They also make a very unique and authentic cafe con leche which really warmed my soul after eating some heartwarming tacos too. Cash only too but I don't mind that too much you're not breaking the bank by coming...

LG opened again on 7/18. The walls are freshly painted. The menu hasn 't changed. We are thrilled that they are back after the five month closure. LG is a classic small Mexican restaurant. The food is great. The service (by the owner) is relaxed. It is our go to place for authentic Mexican food and conversation. The restaurant is usually quiet and there is almost always a table. If you are seeking a place that has very good food and a GREAT value and are willing to live with something less than typical American service and amenities, you should find that this is the gem.
