"this restaurant is a step back into the time. it is a lot of a special occasion/romantic dinner restaurant that we did not recognize until we arrived there. we sat in a cozy side on the lower level, which had wood cladding, chandelier and artwork. for sale. the tables were well spaced. it was charming and was neither cheesy nor pretentious. they take their weights, give them up, put them on them when they go. eating is very good. well prepared, well presented and in a reasonable portion size especially for a French restaurant. I had the carrot soup, the bavette and the apple cake. everything was delicious, well spiced and sown. the apple cake took about 15 minutes to come, but it was worth...

I have just been there for the third time. It did not disappoint. Their $28 table d'hôte for dinner was excellent value for money. One of my favourite restaurants.

Had a lovely summer evening on their lovely 2nd-floor terrasse with a view of the water. The tables were spaced out so not many of them. Service and food were excellent. Portions generous. Would definitely go back.
