"On the occasion of our high-time day, after a long time, we booked a champagne beer-offerte in the Löwenthor, with overnight stay at the hotel Roter Hahn. My wife and I agreed that this was once again a very special culinary highlight. Of course, starting from the extraordinary ambience of the old room, from the very friendly, extremely attentive, yet always discreetly occurring service staff to the madness eating with several courses. We often go to eat with more or less larger or small reviews, but here there was absolutely NOT to criticize or improve, each gang was a perfect taste experience, have rarely eaten so well! In particular we would like to mention the delicious Bratapfelpunsch and the exceptional cinnamon Caipirinha. As far as we have learned later, the owner, Mr Jens von Taden, has cooked very personally this evening.Mr von Taden, once again thank you very much for this great evening! !Our approach of about 60km has once again been rewarded, so we are definitely happy to come back.Love greetings to the entire team of the Lionthor and to Frau Müller at Hotel Roter Hahn."

"We had a dinner there one time during our 3 day stay in Bretten and I wasn't impressed at all. We were sat at a table with another couple, which was absolutely fine until they started mixing the orders around... I have ordered the grilled vegetable...salad with buffalo mozzarella and my friend the scampi pasta. The shrimps were recently defrosted and the salad was nothing to write home about, besides the price. As far as I can remember there were 3 desserts on the menu semifredo, pana cotta and tiramisu, first one was available with ice cream, so no semifredo at all, and the last 2 were coming from the fridge (we had the last 2). Maybe we should have ordered pizzas? The restaurant is boasting a large collection of wines, but then I have a hint: if the staff doesn't speak English good enough, don't try to explain to foreigners in elaborate German which wine to choose, just let them study the wine menu for a while and don't rush with the drinks order... Well, the interior was really nice and it was busy, so I am prepared to give it another try if I happen to be in Bretten again. After all it wasn't that bad, it just was too pricey for what we had."

"Es un hostal que tiene restaurante y una carniceria propia.Estoy hospedado en el propio hostal, y tras ver todos los días lleno el restaurante he decidido probarlo hoy. Pese a ser lunes a la hora de cenar, el restaurante estaba lleno.Me he dejado aconsejar por la camarera, que me trajera algo de carne que me recomendara. Me ha traido un lomo de ternera, un bol de patatas fritas.Estaba expectacular, muy tierno y sabroso.Ambas cosas, junto con una botella de agua sin gas grande y un postre casero tipa after eight han sido 22€.Por lo tanto no es un sitio para poder venir todos los días, pero la relación calidad/precio me ha parecido perfecta.Yo repetiré seguro."

"Great ambience. If it is cold, you have the choice between the cozy vaulted cellar, the place and the super renovated workshop. In summer the super beautiful little garden attracts. You should keep it. This is usually recommended at the main times. The predominantly Italian cuisine is also looking for her. Super delicious pizzas from the stone oven, pasta dishes and salads that are not only delicious, but also a true eye-catcher. "we ordered a table for dinner on 30.10.2022 in the maxime, did not know any boards or the restaurant. we had a long trip behind us and were looking forward to eating well. a nice dame served us on a cozy table and we read a menu with interesting dishes. whether this is French, Alsatian or German cuisine, we didn't care, it had anything and the foods were fantastically assembled. when we got our appetizers, we were really amazed at how delicious the individual ingredients were harmonized and how high-quality meat, sweet and crumbled. it was an experience! (red beds with granatapfelvinaigrette and goat balls. the main dishes were even better.(Candy, rehove the meat aromatic and well cooked, the supplements fresh and crowned with a fantastic sauce and the late zle were so good, self-made and tasted great. a more interesting wein. the dessert was then a special addition. we really enjoyed eating and the cozy hospitality and would always like to go into the maxime. we have already recommended the restaurant friends who live close to and like to visit good restaurants. we liked it in boards and in maxime. we thank all the restaurant team for this great food and the friendly service."
