"During my first visit to Chicago, I had to try the famous Chicago-style hot dog. Based on what I’d heard and seen around the city, Portillo's was the place to go. The atmosphere inside is really vibrant; there’s something new to see every moment. The place is quite large and moves quickly. Although there was a long line and no seating available, we managed to get our food and find a table in no time. The price for the delicious hot dog was reasonable too. In the photo, you can see the Jumbo version, which I would highly recommend!"

Portillo's is a fast food restaurant that has a charm all its own. We ordered a classic hot dog, an Italian beef sandwich, and a fish sandwich. Everything was delicious and not overly salty. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and the service we received. It was our first meal in Chicago, and it certainly set a positive tone for our visit!

the chocolate cake was my absolute favorite dessert of all time. it was so moist and not too sweet on the frost. absolutely divine! the hotdog was also excellent, I wish the paprika were a little spicy, but they had a kick. the restaurant itself was very cozy to see many seating and dinge. the staff could be a bit more friendly, but what do they expect from chicago.

We had a big meal planned for later in the day, so we just got a Chicago hot dog each and some fries to share. The fries came in a small container, which made it feel like we had less than we actually did, but they were hot, crispy, salty, and delicious. The Chicago hot dog was fantastic! The hot dog itself was flavorful, and the toppings were spot on—I loved the sport peppers! Besides the great food, the decor, music, and overall vibe of the place were really cool and nostalgic.
