"We dined at Travail and tried their full tasting menu, which included the cellar bar and the upper floor restaurant. We opted for a cocktail pairing as well as a non-alcoholic pairing to accompany our meal. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with non-alcoholic cocktails before being seated downstairs. Our favorite part of the experience was the cellar bar, and we would definitely return for that alone. The menu, including the drinks, was inventive and unexpected, with presentations that were almost overwhelming in a playful way. We enjoyed dishes such as chorizo and octopus tacos, mussel soup, foie gras reminiscent of lime sherbet, and Korean corn dogs, among others. Everything was delicious, making it difficult for us to choose favorites. Travail did an excellent job of making the non-alcoholic drinks just as fun and interesting as the regular cocktails. The menu upstairs featured more traditional gourmet fare, with the vegetables standing out against the meat dishes. While the steak was a bit too salty on the night we visited, it was otherwise perfectly cooked. Our favorite dish was the pig belly served with carrots in a pea soup. The beverage pairings on the upper floor were quite extensive, but we particularly enjoyed a mango carrot juice served in a cup shaped like a flower pot, which was both sweet and delicious. The desserts were equally outstanding, and we struggled to pick a favorite. Overall, the price tag is more reflective of the experience rather than just the food itself, making it well worth it. The service was a bit unclear in terms of payment structure, but we left a tip and cash under a glass. Despite this small issue, we had an exceptional experience and would definitely return to Travail."

"Great service! I haven't been this place yet and didn't know they changed most of their menu. The food is quite expensive, but the quality of the food was extremely delicious. Her steak was so tasteful and I have to say that they have the best steak sauce. It was so delicious. Her landscape is so covered and casual. We were there at night and I can't believe how many people eat outside. Well, it was really nice outside, but I liked the interior. I love how her wine room is designed. It sits right in the center of its building with glass walls/windows. It's beautiful! We'll be back with friends."

"5 30 2022 update. extra chicken was requested on the garlic chicken, small cost increase. piping hot again. it's so affordable, and have delivery drivers, so NO grubhub, no Door dash nonsense, which is just great and the tip to the driver is more than it would be otherwise. I just ordered 3 CHICKEN dishes. Szechuan Chicken, Chicken with garlic sauce, and General Tso's chicken. non marked plastic containers made it hard to know which was which. I have sampled just 2 dishes. the first, I think. was General Tso's chicken. it was about 99% chicken, and about 4 broccoli florets. no real surprise in taste. it tasted like chicken! the second meal, looked like chicken, only to be chunks of some kind of mushrooms, and other veggies like MORE mushrooms, zucchini carrot slices, and sliced onions. it was tasty after I added some flavor. I ate it, even though I don't care for mushrooms or zucchini it'll be interesting the see what the 3rd meal is for dinner tonight. Update. ...some chicken thin strips. pretty good. the good news, is delivery was very fast, and so hot that I could barely hold the plastic containers! pricing was good. $12 per meal. I'll go back, but lack of chicken aligns with other reviews I've seen."

"Stopped in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon with a group of 6. Dining room was pretty busy and we had a short wait for a table. I understand the difficulty with hiring and keeping reliable staff, so we were patient. The server took our order for drinks and then came back for our food order. The food almost beat our drink order to the table. Based on the quality and quantity of food, it more than made up for the slower drink orders. 2 people ordered grits and said they were the best they have ever had. The Miltons wings were nice and hot and crispy. The french dip was huge and delicious. The brisket sandwich had so much brisket in it that it became an open face sandwich. The jerk chicken mac and cheese never disappoints. Exceptional food. Hope you have luck finding more staff. We will return again."

"well, it helped me to have a very buff man dinner. but in addition, we shared the escapes of the roared walleye and the baked hen, as a spade as a kartoffel bree. I have to say that huh was amazing. very delicate and moist. I'd come back for it alone. service was perfect and with open table was great for our reservation."
