"Cocula Mexican Restaurant has very recently changed ownership. It is now Mariscos Nayarit. My family made plans to meet at Cocula last Saturday night. We were shocked to see that the name has changed. The menu is entirely different and the prices are higher. The menu was not the conventional Mexican we are accustomed to. LOTS of weird seafood dishes. The service was terrible. We were seated without menus. Someone in our party went to the hostess station (which was unattended) and got some menus. The server brought chips and thin watery salsa before taking our drink orders. We didn't even have napkins or eating utensils yet. Some of our orders were not correct. Even though there is a bar, I don't think it is in operation no draught beef or mixed drinks. We asked for glasses for our beer but never received them. Despite all the cons, everyone thought their food tasted good.Cocula was our favorite Mexican restaurant and we are disappointed to see it closed. If it couldn't stay in business, I don't see how Mariscos has much chance of succeeding."

"The habachi chicken is always on point best I have ever eaten and the portions are huge dinner size 2 can eat off of and have leftovers. Staff is always nice. Oh and the sweet tea is definitely southern style. Vegetarian options: You can order your vegetables however you want"

"Ask Daniel as your server if you want the best restaurant service. The guy's on his game. We had him a few times as our server. Secondly, if you worry about catching the Coof, this place may not be for you. Was a packed house! Was so alive and funny. We ordered from the special 2 for $25 menu and used our free salsa and chips coupon from our chili 's weekly SMS. If you select the 2 for 25 menu, choose the hot skill cookie for the desert when you eat in house. If you take desert, get the cheesecake. Our server Daniel, is the one who has proposed this brilliant idea!! We had so much food... We ordered 2 children's menus and our 4 and 5 years old couldn't finish their portions. The children's menu features fruit options and healthier drinks options. If you have a few toddlers, 1 child's meal is much for the 2 of them when you go with the cheeseburgers and salads or fries.) We love half the order of ribs, specially with frits and seasoned corn. Was a fun night out."

"I order the Crispy Shrimp Platter most times which is usually very good but today's was absolutely terrible. The shrimp were extremely overcooked and the fries had been fried twice. I think since I ordered after the lunch rush (around 2:30pm) that I got reheated leftovers. I spoke with Crystal the manager on duty who apologized and she offered another meal on my next visit, but I declined. I just want them to do the right thing all day, every day.Their standards are slipping which is pretty sad because I used to visit pretty often but I don't know what I'm going to get now a days."
