We took a taxi from Friedrichshain (35 min) just for dinner here and worth the trip. Wilhelm Hoeck is a good break from trendy Berlin. It only seemed to be locals in place (exept us), which added the autentic feeling. Do not go...here when you expect Michelin star food, but the food was good (and cheap), the service was decent and the atmosphere calm. A very good Berlin knitting experience! PS! The place has a restaurant and a pub. You can eat in both, but the pub is the preferred if you want the autentic feeling.

We visited a few days ago and disappointed does not even come close. I asked the bar lady if we could sit outside and order or if I could order at the bar. She immediately began to be rude to me and to avenge (she was... randomly under pressure as she was on herself) , I let it go and went outside. We had a drink and decided to go because they were not ice cream for drinks and the drinks were warm. We were very disappointed to eat our experience here. We came on a Monday night so that the bar and the restaurant were not busy. The bar area is large with a number of tables and contain historical festive decor, so we asked to sit in...bar. Although only one of the tables was occupied, we were told that there were no tables in the bar.
