"Heimliche Böblingen Fans (yes, they even seem to be in gastronomic circles! may look forward to a new location. Around the so-called Schlossbergring, the local city and vacancies managers have a lot to do. There is movement in there – and some seemingly hopeless cases still turn to good. The Stadtgrabenstr building. 29 is located in first-class 1a location, is well accessible by car, Öffis and on foot, has a number of (payable parking facilities nearby – but has a changeable history. From the former clothing house in my youth to the current hip local with the subtitle “asia kitchen bar” lie worlds, including culinary art. Dumpf, I mean to remember little promising Turkish, Spanish and Italian places that could never survive for a very long time. Now the “Anami” seems to strike. Probably hit the pulse of time... In the past, I was never quite clear whether the place has open or not. A great darkness wades above the ground floor. Also when entering, I was intuitively looking for the light switch. Black and metal anthracite are the predominant colours here – combined with a dark laminate in tropical wood imitation and some color-depleted tiles. To this end exposed concrete in skillful trumpet l’œil optics and a lot of exposed metal and grating on the ceiling – whether with or without function, here is almost no matter... As out of nowhere I am greeted by the service that kindly offers me a table at the window. Here you can see without a flashlight. Immediately I like the chairs with a multi-gelled bowwood understructure (from teak and matt black seat shells). Precious, very reduced and more in Scandinavian styles. Minimalist stylish also the rest, up to black napkins, black straws, a red flower on each table. This place could be anywhere in the world, whether in New York, Saigon or Abu Dhabi. On rabblings, you'd get less. The service behaves professionally with respect to value. Nothing happens in a hurry, every handle sits. Whether the foods will match this overall impression? The homepage reveals: “Anami embodies the spirit of Asians grown up in Germany, with influences from different cultures with which we grew up in our childhood.” The rest of the text seems to have been translated by Google Translate. Well, that gives your own imagination more space. The menu – of course completely in black – has a wide range of sushi and sashimi, as well as interesting sounding fish and meat dishes that are quite crossover. There are two vegetarian and two children's dishes (to what extent children are actually already standing on Teriyaki – sauce, one would have to test. For my rather short lunch break, that's right. Spontaneously, Toro Toro: roast tuna, with celery, onions and soy sauce, served with rice and salad. Whether Toro Toro is actually a real existing dish or just a fantasy term, I would have to research. Probably the latter. It is easy to say and keeps the guest from the embarrassing cycling. My food is on the table in less than 10 minutes and is visually pretty. In a handcrafted, glazed shell in blue shades (Asian influence? are fried tuna strips, rice and crunchy leaf salads arranged next to each other (European style. I'm trying everything out. The dry, short marinated tuna is of the best quality and reminiscent of veal. Above all, a crunchy mixture of light and dark sesame lies as topping. Anyone who mixes everything courageously, including leaf salads, gets a spicy mix of different flavors, textures and temperatures. Interesting and never eaten. The portion is not too large and does not leave an unpleasant feeling of totality. Although I was sitting in the restaurant for only half an hour, I leave the house in a pleasant deep relaxation. Maybe I'll be back next week?"

"I have probably written several times about the gastronomic agglomeration at Schönaicher First on Böblinger Gemarkung. Several locals (with ever-changing operators) line up here at the city border Böblingens near the foothills, beautifully located, not far from scattered meadows, beech forests, agricultural areas. As a destination very popular, so that there are always enough hikers, joggers, walkers, cyclists and large families, as well as residents of the nearby Rauher Kapf district and employees of a large IT company. A true Eldorado for gastronomy, one should think. Some locals show the cold shoulder, want to be conquered. So did Da Michelina. Somehow it's always a day of rest, lunch or vacation when I come by. Once we have actually succeeded in penetrating and already sat on the terrace with a set menu. Then a service employee came rushing to inform that rest day was. That was about two years ago. Today a successful visit finally succeeds. Since Michelina has opened three rest days a week and also only on Sundays at lunchtime. At the entrance a sign indicates that due to lack of personnel, longer waiting times can occur. So you have to practice yourself as a guest in humility. First of all, mentioning the beautifully designed outdoor and garden area. There were actually people with the desire for beautification at work. Only dark can I remember the cuddly ambience when this place still shoots here... As the first guest at 12 o'clock we choose a two table on the terrace, which was freshly wiped just before our arrival. Almost in the minute cycle, other guests arrive. No wonder: the stop of the Schönbuchbahn is in front of the door. Soon the menu will be taken. Since Michelina (so hot here the owner and at the same time cook offers everything you want with the Italian (here: with the Italian: colorful appetizers, fresh salads, a huge selection of pizzas (of which some Markus, Bernd and Fredi are hot, hopefully not named after lost husbands, various pasta dishes, fish and meat, as well as some italophile Desirast I don't know I'm hungry I'm tired I don't care I don't want to. We're not tired, but rather hungry. Choose therefore a Pasta frutti di mare (15,90 Euro and a pizza vegetale (12,90 Euro), plus Cola zero (0,4 liter for 3,90 Euro and Pinot Grigio (0,2 liter for 6,20 Euro). After half an hour, the food is applied – and it looks very nice. The spaghetti are made with a slightly crunchy tomato sauce, with shells and shrimps. A true eye-catcher is a stylized red bee. In the side table, one believes to discover something carabinous on the noodles. Definitely a nice idea! Also the pizza comes colorful and tasty therefore, with crusty edge, but very thin dough inside. There are plenty of cheese, onions, peppers, black olives, artichokes, mushrooms. The well-cooled Pinot Grigio is served in a narrow carafe and is quite okay, but not the highlight that we want to make white (we quote from the homepage: “Wein, is not just a drink made from berries. Our exquisite wine selection is mainly from the Italian area. Every single bottle has been chosen meticulously for our card as you have the torment of choice. Your palate will be spoiled in any case.” The coffee does not taste us at the end (2.70 Euros), as it is clearly too bitter and therefore the stomach is agitating. In the toilets, by the way, the same adorning spirit seems to have worked, which has also embellished the remaining ambience. Here you will find a variety of toiletries from a well-known drugstore market. It's no wonder some ladies need to **** for so long. However, we are limited to the essentials, because the Schönbuchbahn runs back in half hours."

"In the meantime, the entrance fee in the gastronomy has become so complicated that you are already looking for locals with pick-up and delivery service. A year ago it worked. In my research, I came to the “Kitchen” in my home town of Böblingen. Although it was apparently opened in the last quarter of 2019, its existence has so far been completely over to me. Despite absolutely central location. Located between mileage and railway station on the edge of the Böblinger airfield – with the picturesque address “Charles-Lindbergh-Str.” – it is however hidden in the wind shadow of some newly created, faceless office buildings. Parking is more a problem here, but the train station and bus station are just a few steps away. The extensive homepage promises a biocertified restaurant with an impressive hygiene concept. I do not find an online form for ordering food, but the friendly cooperative lady on the phone promises me on the eve that I can simply order on site and in 10 minutes the food is ready to pick up. This works – and I can even wait for dinner in the restaurant, as there are no other guests just before 12. On the menu you will find a variety of burgers, bowls and salad variations – from classic to vegan/vegetarian, spies and dish dishes, desserts and fruit juices, braus specialities, house wines with sounding names “Helene the Luminous” and cocktails. Because I'm not necessarily the Burger fan, the lunch card is available. I order 1x Argentinian beef steak with herbal butter, wild potatoes and sour cream for incredible 11,90 euros, 1x grilled zander fillet with grilled vegetables and rosemary spices 12,90 euros, with a supplement salad 3,50 euros. While it savours and crumbles in the kitchen, I use the opportunity to let the ambience act on me. Could be just as a hotel lobby in Antalya as a core local in Arkansas: very much dark solid wood, soft padded retro armchair and massive, inviting leather sofas, with crystal chandeliers and reading lamps. Between library shelves, which I only perceive as a pure decoration. In an unobserved moment, I grab some volumes and look amazed: all bibliophilic expenditures from the last century, all real. Nevertheless, the whole interior somehow looks like a film scene and a bit strange. The undercooled business environment is supposed to provide a cozy counterpart. The very nice and uncomplicated service lady has not promised too much: in less than a quarter of an hour I can take the freshly prepared food. Home when unpacking great joy! The Argentinian beef steak is of best quality and priceless from enthusiasm I forget to make a photo. Although medium ordered, it is relatively by, but still surprisingly delicate and aromatic. With herbal butter and sour cream in an extra plastic dish you did not save. Also from the wild potatoes there is a huge portion. The pike fillet is fried on the skin, the Mediterranean grilled vegetables and the rosemary spices are still less in the fat... . Also the relatively unspectacular supplemental salad is served an oildressing that we still mix with some balsamic vinegar at home. All in all, we were very fond of the friendly service, the fast preparation and the quality of food. In the coming weeks, we will study the lunches carefully. Perhaps this winter the “Kitchen” will also revive its delivery service? Otherwise it's worth eating on site. The Medicum Medical Center and Mercaden Shopping Temple are only a few steps away – and those who want to turn a round after the meal will have an opportunity at the nearby Langen Lake."

"As already mentioned, during the supposed standstill of the last few months, a lot has changed in the gastronomy landscape and even in my hometown, I could not yet see all the innovations, let alone test. There are two new openings in sight on the room impact, vis-a-vis on opposite sides of the road. They should not compete in terms of content and conception – but they will be seen. The Nostos resides at the Schäferhundeverein in an unspectacular building, to which one can have a more appropriate character. The changing guards of the last few years I haven't all in my mind. Above the regular table level with scavengers and beer, the requirements of the guests were also rarely met. Now at this point, a completely new idea has established itself, which I spontaneously like very well. First of all, congratulations on the extraordinary name for a Greek restaurant, after we have been too often in Mykonos, Acropolis or Hellas. The ancient Greeks among us will be able to translate Nostos immediately – the others may google it. Second recognition for the simple, reserved furnishing without Mediterranean kitsch and blue and white interior. The existing rusticity was taken over by the forerunners and only padded with pale green tavern chairs and tables. The service boys appear agile, ambitious, although perhaps not necessarily from the subject. A menu in DIN-A3 format as a table set is spread out in front of one. There are 98 different dishes. Those who are amazed at the variety of variations and the sometimes overpriced prices will find a statement during the evening. This is actually a Greek tapas bar. Here everyone can build up an x-popular food sequence, add something at any time and like to share with the tablemates. To my taste! The offer includes a variety of pastes, salads, cheese, fish and meat specialties, lots of vegetables and dishes. Small joke with local reference (the Daimler plants are only a few kilometres away): starter plates for several people named “Mezedes Bens”. During my first visit, my accompaniment and I choose: oil-laid black olives with oregano (2.50), which are served in a beautiful green porcelain boat. Baby-Calamari from the grill (8.60 Euro), which are rich in lukewarm and accompanied by creamy chickpea and lens salad. Delicious! Also excellent are the grilled octopus arms (13,90 Euro) with Fava, a kind of humus from peas. Interestingly, a light orange aroma swings along. At the end a plate Graviera (4.80 euros) is ordered – a Cretan hard cheese, garnished with light and black sesame and served with honey. Fine combination! During my second visit, I choose the Keftedakia (5.50 euros), which are not so far away from Swabian meat cubes, as well as the classic Tsatsiki (3.20 euros), which, after my gusto, would have done a little more spice and garlic well. As an unexpectedly extensive, the choice of my fellow esser emerges: the hitherto unknown Cretan Dakossalat (7.20 Euro) has for us most the presumption of Bruschetta with sheep cheese, however, the excessively sharp Zwieback-Brot is not for everyone. All in all, an evening in the Nostos can be the same as a cozy Lutheran journey throughout Greece. And if one takes place on one of the rustic benches in the outdoor area, the training of the German shepherd dogs on the lawn next door can also be admired. A huge covered terrace behind the house offers additional space for larger groups and here you can also watch football during my second visit. As for all locals in the room, there is also a good accessibility by car (free parking), with a Schönbuchbahn or bus, as walkers, hikers, cyclists. I'll definitely be back soon, because I'm still missing some 80 dishes I haven't crossed on the map yet."

Cafe Lichtwerk

"Some days you need a light look – especially when the sun doesn't want to get out, a cold is wide and you lose the boule. Today is such a day. Here I draw my three friends and fellow players spontaneously (despite other food plans into the “light work” where I always wanted to return. The strange opening hours have so far prevented me from doing so: Tuesday to Thursday, from 11 am to 3 pm. Hopefully it's still expandable? Because the need for this location is immense. The “Lightwork” is located in Böblingen’s well-visited industrial area Hulb, in the immediate vicinity of: Dehner, ATU, Danish bed camp, Fressnapf, a construction market, a sanitary wholesale trade, a huge furniture store and much more. Locals are more shortages here. What the “lighthouse” writes on its homepage: “With freshly cooked lunch dishes daily, home-baked cakes and more, it is aimed at all who work on the Hulb, shop or just like to come by. This project is designed to create a place for refueling and feeling well-being in the middle of the Hulb.” That's done! There are plenty of parking spaces right in front of the front door – no one will walk here! The premises are spacious, friendly and open, modern furnishings and very proper. Since everything can be achieved at a level, accessibility is not a problem. What is not expected here in the industrial area: back out there is a really quiet, inviting guest garden – quite green and even contemplative. There we spontaneously take place on wooden chairs on wooden tables under large parasols (which would not have been needed today... Some lounge furniture invite you to hang around, but are already occupied. The “lighthouse” as a café is false understatement. It is natural: restaurant, bistro, lounge bar, lounge room, canteen, meeting point, resting place. However, with self-service and limited offer. However made with love and commitment. Probably there's a lot of honor in the game. That makes it so sympathetic. The restaurant offers a daily changing lunch table (times meaty, sometimes vegetarian, with freshly prepared soups in three kinds of serving sizes and homemade cakes, with different salad variations, muzzles and desserts – and of course a reasonable selection of drinks, especially with many coffee specialities. Self-service is recommended. No problem. You get everything at the open, invitingly designed counter in the middle of the room. Salads and cakes can be seen in a showcase. Beverages and food are praised on handwritten calligraphed slate boards. There is plenty of choice when we arrive at 13:00. We choose: 2x muzzles with potato salad (7.50 Euro , 1x Colorful salad bowl with goat cheese, walnuts and grapes (7.50 Euro , 1x the lunch menu (7.80 Euro : pork back with salt potatoes and herbal butter). The muzzles are hearty and homemade, but the potato salad should have been a bit more soothing and cruising. Wonderful: the sauce with peeled onions. The lunch dish is a little thirsty and the potatoes would have done a little more cooking time. Without a tadel, the salad to which you can choose Balsamicodressing or cream dressing. There are also three slices of baguette. We all get a voucher: to a piece of cake there is a coffee specialty free of charge. Is it possible to return for the next visit? We already test the coffee without adding it – unfortunately it tastes fad and a bit after rinsing water. Perhaps we should have followed the recommendations of the Thekendame (self-made iced tea? At the food quality there is still air up. However, the service is pleasant and courteous, very striving and friendly. The ambience has style and provides rest, relaxation. For employees of the surrounding companies, this can be something like an appropriate canteen replacement. Inside, some children are doing homework – for them the place is probably family replacement. I'd like to come back when I'm on site. The food offer appeals to me. This week is offered as a lunch table (under 8 euros: chicken breast fillet with mozzarella baked lentils and late zle with string sausage meat vegetaric vegetable skating pork ridge (see above)."
