"I mean, is it REALLY fair to review an airport-based outlet of a world-famous chicken wing place? Probably not, but I was passing through Buffalo and figured I ought to try the Anchor Bar. I don 't like chicken wings (I know, I know: the HORROR! , but I still wanted to try it. As far as options at the Buffalo Airport go, this wasn 't a horrible option. We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess. The prices are higher than they should be, but you 're paying for location and convenience. My hubby opted for the hot wings and fries, and I got the chicken sandwich with macaroni salad. Our food came out very fast, which is a huge plus at an airport. The place wasn 't very busy that day, but the kitchen was quick. Everything was hot and looked appealing, and our orders were both 100% correct. I had requested the buffalo sauce on the side because I 'm not a fan of spicy food, and it came in a small container with a lid. Seems dumb to waste plastic like that, and I would not have asked for my sauce on the side had I known it would come in wasteful packaging. My chicken sandwich was unmemorable. A thin, fried chicken patty topped with cheese, lettuce and tomato was very standard-issue. The meat reminded me of the traditional chicken sandwich at Burger King. it wasn 't high quality, but it was hot, crispy, and fresh. The bread was the best part, toasted and very soft. The macaroni salad was good and made for a visually appealing side. Overall, this meal wasn 't something that was craveable, but it was passable. Hubby enjoyed his chicken wings but said they were far from the best he 'd ever eaten. He didn 't love them, but said they were okay for an airport restaurant. The fries were delicious, but neither of us has met a fried potato we didn 't like! I guess if you want to say you 've tried the Anchor Bar, you probably ought to go to the original when in Buffalo. But I couldn 't leave the city without trying it. Maybe next time I 'll make an effort to dine outside of the airport."
