"Emily 's is our go to place for family breakfast after our two teenage boys finally join the living on the weekends. This is one restaurant that can always satisfy their seemingly insatiable appetites for carbs and proteins. They struggle to finish pancakes, the breakfast scrambler melt, or any of the omelettes that are on the menu, which is testament to the quality and portions of the food. We usually leave with a doggy bag on most visits. The menu has changed slightly over the years (I 've been a patron for more than a decade), but the quality and consistency has remained above average. The sign of a good diner is usually a wait at the door on the weekends, and Emily 's is no exception. The staff work hard to turn tables as quickly as possible, but don 't be surprised if you have to wait near the door for 10 15 minutes during peak times. The staff are usually very friendly, attentive, and accommodating, some of the wait staff have been working there for many years, and some are relatively new, but all know the menu and are helpful when guests have questions about allergies or how food is prepared. My father in law is so enamored with Emily 's that he insists we go here at least once (if not more) whenever he visits. They recently started accepting credit cards, and they do offer take out (usually 15 25 minutes from call to pick up). The diner is very 'kid friendly ' with coloring books and crayons available, booster seats, enough room between tables to fit a car seat and toys on the floor etc. Stay for Ice Cream if you are here in the summer, those portions are similar to the breakfast menu, and who doesn 't want a little extra ice cream?"
