"5-star service, 3-star brunch. That was my first visit to Manor Hill and I went specifically for Brunch. Everyone was really-super-wonderful friendly, from host to our server to the Food Runner. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. It is rare to work lately with really friendly servers, and I would return only for this experience. Yay! The terrace is small, shaded and quiet. A beautiful little place to eat and chat with friends! The terrace is located on the back of the restaurant and seemed only accessible by climbing two stairs. Good for me, but definitely not ideal if someone in your group has mobility challenges, so note that if you are looking for outside food. I ordered fried eggs and bacon? and her Pearl Waffle? The waffle was quite sugary and strangely dense and dry, and after a few bites I asked to swap it for toast. I've never had such a waffle, so I'm not sure if it's a regional thing or a Manor Hill thing? It was so dense that I saw it with a knife to cut it. The server was super chill over my request and made me an order of toast. I asked for jelly or jam, but the runner told me they had no?? My Sis got the avocado toast she gave 3 stars. The avocado was thinly smeared on the bread and then with a LOT onion and chopped bacon and a dawn of what tasted like a thousand island dressing. It was good enough, but less like avocado toast and more like an open bacon sandwich when that's one thing. The coffee and the mimoses were solid when forgotten. I want to go back to lunch or dinner to try their main menu. The fantastic service guarantees a second visit, even if its brunch fair was only average. And they have a sweet one? Beer garden? Terrace over the street from the main entrance. Thank you for the friendly service!"
