"My husband and I enjoyed the September tasting menu for the anniversary of our first date. The food was incredible. We had everything from the tasting menu and not one dish was a disappointment. The service was well timed, kind, and attentive. It was a little difficult to hear our waiter because the music was a lil loud and masks, but we leaned in and he spoke louder- so all was well. Highly recommend"

"Today, on June 8, 2023 at 11am, I went in for lunch. I usually enjoy mixing my pho, and this time I ordered a small pho with veggie broth, no onions, and soft tendon with crab meat. Initially, the server refused to add crab meat for some reason, but eventually relented. I also requested extra lime, which I have never had an issue with in the past. However, this time they gave me only 2 extra lime wedges, and then tried to charge me $1.00 for them. This struck me as ridiculous, especially considering my long-standing patronage. The service overall has declined, with some great servers like Tren no longer being present. The current staff members, both an older man and a young man, are not effective and even demand tips despite providing subpar service. The restaurant must consider hiring more competent individuals to improve the overall customer experience."

"My husband and I pass this diner several times a week and keep saying we should check it out; so this past Thursday evening we decided we had a craving for the diner experience and pulled into the parking lot at City Diner. We were greeted and shown a table promptly. I know this diner is known more for its breakfast, but the menu is quite diverse and we were there for dinner, we decided we had a hankering for Greek cuisine. We ordered the stuffed grape leaves and hummus appetizers. I really like stuffed grape leaves, and though the best stuffed grape leaves I've had in the DC area are at Taverna Cretekou, City Diner's version hit the spot as well. The hummus and pita bread are both delicious as well. For our main course we ordered the athenian combo, which we realized after, was enough food to feed two people....the portions are definitely filling at City Diner. The platter has tasty gyro meat on a pita, spanakopita, salad, and french fries. You also get another side of salad or soup! Did I mention you will not leave hungry?! : This a definitely a place local diner fans enjoy and I can see why...from the decor to the super friendly staff, we felt at home the whole time. We plan to comeback to try breakfast or shakes and pie sometime soon. Thanks for a great traditional diner experience."

"reservation for 2 on Monday night. the restaurant was not very crowded. many open tables, but I felt like we were rushing. our food was delicious, and it came out shockingly quickly. literal 5 minutes after order. "The owner and staff was super nice. They ordered food for us that was not even on the menu, made sure there were vegetarian options, and they even stayed open late for us. The food came out fast and it's a great place for shareables with friends and families. If you're looking for authentic viet food that isn't pho, come here! We got the spring and summer rolls, taro salad, crispy frog legs (taste like chicken), krispy rice paper and vegetarian clams, vermicelli noodle, and the seafood medley and krispy noodles mì xào giòn đồ biển."

"Best breakfast I've had in some time. Grade: B<br/ <br/ It had been years since we ate at Original Pancake House and decided to try it again this morning. Best idea of the day.<br/ <br/ The cherry kijafa crêpes were huge, filled with cherries and covered in a delicious cherry sauce. The real whipped cream really made the dish.<br/ <br/ I didn't feel like pancakes, and instead ordered the works (2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and hash brown) but substituted toast for the 3 buttermilk pancakes that normally come with the order. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the hash browns crispy. Their thick cut bacon was a nice change from the normal greasy, thin strips in most restaurants. But the bread that was used for the toast thick, white bread that tasted freshly baked was really a surprise.<br/ <br/ This is now a solid option for weekend breakfasts for us."

"I met my friend for lunch. we had a comfortable stand not far from the door. we had an attentive waitress called strawberry. our menu choice was the crab cake. it tasted ok, the crab was not crumbled type and no more slim or other ingredients beside the binding agent. but the price was fair and the pommes and the koleslaw were very good. "Ordered take out today for the first time from Fava Pot. I enjoyed the falafel platter it was pretty tasty. Lentil Rice was just ok not much flavor. Falafel however were delicious and cooked just right. The salad portion was super little. I wish it had a bit more sald and less rice, as it would have balanced the meal a bit more. "My family and I have been coming here for a long time. We think it's one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area, but this was our first time back since COVID started. I'm only marking it 4/5 instead of 5/5 since I thought that the Miso soup was a bit watery. They must be going for a more subtle taste but personally I prefer a more robust flavor. Everything else was exceptional though. The Futomaki had a balanced combination of ingredients and flavors. Sushi rice can be hard to perfect, but the rice in these rolls was sweet and sticky without either quality being overpowering. The egg was nicely spongy while still having a slight firmness. The other sushi rolls I tried were excellent as well, and the oily, chewy fish eggs that coated one of them were a particular highlight. My main course was a Teriyaki New York strip steak served with a side of rice and salad. The steak was marinated in a thick layer of teriyaki and dotted with sesame seeds, and the meat itself wrapped my taste buds in a warm embrace of juicy tenderness. If you're in the area and want to treat yourself to some delectable Japanese food, look no further than Maneki Neko."

"Glad to know there’s a good taco shop near by! I’m originally from San Diego and we have plenty good authentic street tacos and this place is as good or even better. It’s pretty busy and don’t really have a lot of seating inside but they do have outdoor seating. I will definitely come back. If you like fish taco try the Black Pearl Taco."
