"The Mangolds vis-a-vis is the place to be if you want to chill and relax in Graz since although located in the heart of Graz' student's life and in the heavily frequented Zinzendorfgasse, the hub of all pubs, it represents an oasis for flow-seekers like me. Here in this vegetarian restaurant you can easily get into the flow as this place provides comfy couch-chairs as well as even a sofa at the rear end of the front room. The back room is full of tables and chairs to dine in or to have your lunch. As the middle part at the corner is characterized through a big wooden table with stools around it. This leads me to my next point I want to mention: The whole interior is very stylish and artsy as well as featuring much real wood when it comes to the tables, art objects, and the ceiling which is completely out of wood. This gives a special artsy and outdoorsy atmo what plays into the relaxing flair of the Mangolds vis-a-vis. This place is the dependence (store) of the main Mangolds restaurant in the center which exists for many decades now as the institution for vegetarian food in Graz. I personally give preference to the front room facing the street with the comfy couch-chairs as it is also more light. But there is also a nice patio outside for experiencing the vibrant Grazer student's life the most. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. The folks who work here are as relaxed as the whole establishment is. I had a delicious spelt raspberry cake, as well as another time a chocolate tart, and a cheese cake a. For the main dishes I had as a snack one time a ciabatta with smoked tofu and another time a Thai burger with tofu inside. And I want to point out one more great thing about the Mangolds vis-a-vis: the opening hours are great since this place is open every day until midnight. So if you want to stay at a hip place in Graz, check out the Mangolds vis-a-vis! With Love! Dr. Dr. Immanuel Fruhmann"

"Flavoursome and satisfying brunch; high effort towards accommodating dietary requirements. Booking advisable especially on weekends . I’ve heard about the delicious breakfast at Kunsthauscafe Graz many times and it’s living up its good reputation. I had the “Del Prado” from the “Stadtbekannt” “well known in...the city” -section as a gluten free option which includes three slices of gluten free, toasted sourdough bread instead of the regular breadbasket which is a white bread roll, a slice of wholemeal brown bread and a croissant . The hummus was creamy and rich in flavour, the side of avocado, baby spinach and agave reduction well balanced in flavour spice and plentiful. The bread was toasted very crisp and gave the meal an addition in texture as well. However, it was toasted with quite a lot of olive oil, so it also became quite grease – in combination with the hummus and the additional vegan butter it was, to my taste, too much and the dish could easily do without the oil on the toast or the butter on the side. The lassi was refreshing and very filling as well – all in all, portion sizes are very generous. Unfortunately, I have to say, that the day I came for breakfast me and my friend had to wait about 40mins for our food to arrive. In combination with the almost greasy bread I deduct 1 star. Service staff was very professional; I had quite a lot of questions regarding food intolerances accommodating dietary requirements and the waiter was patient, knowledgeable and very understanding. Upon request wherever possible, swaps can be made to accommodate dietary requirements at least regarding the “stadtbekannt” section; I did not ask about other options from their breakfast menu . In general, their breakfast range includes some “classics” such as scrambled eggs, granolas mueslis as well as the set brekkie options “Stadtbekannt” with sweet and savoury choices. Specialties include a breakfast burger or quesadilla; some options are vegan as well. Breakfast is served until 4pm and the range of options suit a variety of preferences which makes the Kunsthauscafe a nice spot to come in larger groups for a tasteful brunch notabene: it is a very popular place and quite busy at times, so probably not the place to go to if one wanted to have a private and quiet conversations . Altogether, the meal was satisfying and tasty, appealingly looking and prepared using fresh ingredients. Portion size is very generous, and the meal is absolutely good value for money and worth every penny and in my case the wait ."
