"A family lover for decades. After living in the area for a large part of my life, I would return to my duties if I did not mention this picturesque Penn Hills restaurant. My family has enjoyed many meals from this facility since the 1970s. I, myself, was never in a better family home, small restaurant in this immediate area. When entering, the decor is Spartan to be safe... but it is extremely clean, well maintained, efficient and beautiful accented with photos and image printing. It is very the No-Frills what you see is what you get typical Italian restaurant. The business and reputation of the family is in the food, not in the ambience. The food is extremely fresh and well prepared. My personal favorites are the Pasta e fagiole soup, the chickens Tortellini soup, the sown salad, which is best with their own Italian dressing, and the Rigatoni with meatballs. I have always left this place happy and not disappointed. The sauce, like everyone who dinates Italian, is what can make or break the food. At Pasqualino the tomato sauce is a star! Fresh, bright and herby is the best way to categorize the pasta dressing. The restaurant even offers glasses of sauce for males who want to buy some for their own cooking. attentive and friendly staff have always occupied this place. They are real people who care about what they do and how they present. The owner could easily be your prototypical, loving nonno. He asks every customer how he or she does and conversations with his customers when he has a little free time. Hands down, this place offers the best tomato sauce in the immediate vicinity. Great food, quite decent price and high quality service. This restaurant is a rare resort to Penn Hills' eating situation."
