A Penn Hills Gem. I've been eating here for years. My family and my husband's family are all Italians, so we are picky about our Italian. Pasqualino's, or Pizza Palace, as it is known to locals, is great Italian cuisine. I didn't eat anything I didn't love here. Even the chicken fingers I got for my child were delicious and hand-baked. The crab cake medusa is delicious large, thick pieces of crab meat on homemade spinach linguine with a light Alfredo sauce. Their soups are also fantastic, like the homemade chocolate chip cookies. I live about 30 minutes from Penn Hills and was in the area for a dance competition. My friend and I only had about an hour and wanted to go somewhere near, so we were on urban spoon for a restaurant near where we were. I'm so glad we made it! I am an Italian and an amazing cook myself and am extremely picky when it comes to an Italian restaurant. I'm also a former restaurant owner and I've been in business for years, so of course I'm a critic. I usually don't write reviews, but I was so impressed that I had to write one for this hidden gem I just discovered! The restaurant itself was nothing fun and would remind you of any local pizza shop. I must say it was very clean and well maintained....
