"We adore Perfect Caper and visit as frequently as possible. During our recent visit, we opted to share an entree (Pappardelle Mushrooms) so we could try a variety of appetizers. The heirloom tomatoes mozzarella salad was an absolute standout, making my mouth water as I think about it. The steamed mussels were as delicious as ever, and my personal favorite was the fried hen of the woods mushrooms with the amazing ricotta/goatcheese/truffle oil and magic sauce. Simply incredible."

"I have been to Carmelo's many times and usually love my meal and can't wait to go back. Tonight was a different story. My boyfriend and I made a reservation at Carmelo's to celebrate our anniversary as it's usually one of our favorite places. Tonight it took a very long time for us to get our drinks, my boyfriend asked for lemon for his water that he had never received. We then got our appetizer after a little while of waiting, which was fine. After we saw tables around us who were seated after us receiving their bread, we then had asked for ours because we never received it. After maybe a little over an hour of being at the restaurant we got our food. I got the shrimp and scallop limoncello, which I have gotten many times there. It had diced tomatoes in it that were uncooked (along with the usual sun dried tomatoes) and this wasn't something that was changed on the menu, if it was I would have asked for it to be left out of the dish. The sauce also seemed to be extremely watery tonight. Eventually our waiter boxed up our food and asked if we wanted dessert, we got one and asked for it to be for to go and for the check. At this point we have been here for an hour and a half. He brings the check and we put the card immediately in as we are sick of sitting outside and waiting. The waiter proceeded to take the bill and talk to the table next to us for over 10 minutes with our bill in hand. No exaggeration. Just five minutes short of being at our table for 2 hours is when we finally were able to leave, as we had a 7pm reservation. Maybe this was an off night for Carmelo's, I really hope it's not the new normal here, and I may just be exceptionally frustrated as we had sat there waiting for a lot longer than we had ever experienced at Carmelo's before. We saw many tables of two that arrived after us come and go before we had even received our check."

"We have been wanting to eat here for awhile and finally got a chance when we had a change of dining plans. We made a 7 pm reservation, but we're not seated till 7:15. The front desk staff said they were waiting for tables to clear. (Not the happiest customer facing bunch). When we finally got seated we ordered the Brussel sprouts appetizer that was tasty, but not very firm. On the other hand, the jambalaya and short ribs were delicious and properly cooked. Our server, Toya, was friendly and prompt and not overbearing. Will come back again midweek when it is less crowded."

"The table waiter is wonderful, but the bartenders are certainly missing. Definitely not friendly. I was not greeted for some time, and when we were recognized, it seems like an effort to even give us a drink. Quite right rude. Even worse for the couple sitting next to me. So much so that they leaned and said it was so for a while. It wasn't the first time. Terrible. It wasn't busy. Two bartenders. Male and female. So sad that such a large local restaurant represents these two people River City. We hope they will change soon. This is my first review at all, but I felt compelled to be a former restaurant owner. Sometimes we get caught as owner and don't know the face of our facility is ruined."

"I grew up in Nashville so Cracker Barrel has always been around That being the case I know the menu well. Or should I say I USED to know the breakfast menu. This restaurant, and I fear many others have mostly revamped the menu. Did you used to go here for the sunrise sampler? Out of luck! It's gone. Uncle Hershel's? Gone as well. Do you remember All the Fixings Gone. Guys, if you need to raise the prices because of inflation just do it! Don't screw up the entire menu trying to maintain some arbitrary price point.Now specifics on this store. It's old. Old style host in the back style. And I don't know what it is but it seems that the older the store the worse the food. This one was no exception. 40 minute wait for a table to get a long wait for our server to appear followed by an even longer wait for lukewarm food, and finally a lack of expedient refills on my tea. My home store in Jantzen Beach is new, and never has these problems.Come on guys, I've been a fan since the early 80's don't make me go back to Waffle House."

"I went to the drive-through because the inside of the restaurant was closed. I ordered three types of burgers and two drinks, but they messed up my order. I went back around and it took a long time to serve three cars ahead of me. When I finally got to the window, the staff were rude. I had to repeat my order at least five times, but they still got it wrong. I ended up leaving without getting angry. I used to work at a Burger King for years, and it's the easiest job I've ever had."

"visit from the city. I tried to command you. it was 9:15. online says they close at 10 o'clock. they are closed. the dame was so rude (do not know her name, she was thin)! At some point, they scream at me that they are closed. "This restaurant experience was absolutely horrible. The waitress forgot most of our order, including my drink which I didn't receive until the end of my meal. She also forgot our sides and left us alone in the restaurant to go smoke with the cook, even though we were the only customers there. When we were finished with our meals, we were left sitting there with no check. When I went outside to signal that we were ready to pay, she threatened to call the police. The service was terrible and we did not receive a receipt. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone - go anywhere else."

"I would like to thank your restaurant for being so inadequately equipped for, and so discourteous to my family 's dinner on Saturday evening. We had family visiting and requested a seating for ~15 people at 3:30 on the deck. When we arrived and realized it would be uncomfortably hot to sit in the sun, we requested indoor seating. We had noticed it would not be possible to be seated inside as a single group... yet we were not offered this option.While waiting, we ordered drinks from the bar, including sodas for the children. The cocktails were provided, and since it was close to [our seating time], we were told the sodas would be delivered to the table upon being seated.A few minutes later, we were called-up and guided toward the deck (kudos for seating us close to 3:30). While headed down the ramp (two of us in wheelchairs) to our table, I was pleased to see the tables on the deck had adjustable umbrellas to provide shade and comfort while eating your meal. We were then directed to a row of metal topped tables set in the sun, without umbrellas. The sunlight reflecting off the metal tabletops was blinding to those of us facing the sun. WE then had to add an adjacent table to provide enough seating for the whole party. WE then moved some umbrellas to our tables (from the unoccupied tables adjacent to ours) in an effort to provide shade and comfort for or group.Up to this point in our evening, We were not offered indoor seating, We added the additional table, We were not offered shade, so We moved the umbrellas, AND we had to reorder the sodas from the waiter (he was very good; a young man with curly hair).We had requested (a managers) assistance to rectify these changes. No one presented themselves to assist. The last straw was when we were told that we shouldn 't be moving these things around, as the wind hand blown an umbrella over. Again, we requested inside seating... we were told that it couldn 't be accommodated. Still, NO associate or manager stepped with any recommendations or possible solutions.Even the most accepting and understanding member of our family, who never gets upset no matter how much is set upon her, could not accept that her family was treated with such disregard... we left."

"Our friends took us to their favoite Thai place in Punta Gorda, Royal Thai, since they knew we liked Thai. It was busy enough we had to wait for a table and it stayed busy the whole time we were there. Two of us had Thai Ice Tea, which is always good. OOur friend both ordered soup and their meals, so they both had two kinds of soup, the ones they ordered and the daily soup that came with their meals. Needless to say, they both took some food home. My wife and I skipped ordering extra soup so our meals were just right in size. The daily soup had ground chicken in it and was very good. My wife ordered Pineapple Curry with chicken, medium spicy, and it came fairly mild. She stil liked it. I had Sweet Basil with pork, medium spicy and it had a bit of life, but now we know to order more spicy than normal here. I also enjoyed my meal. Service was good. We have had better Thai, but can believe this is the best locally."

"Bartender (2 women) are rude and evil. Whether they are slow or busy, these two have a speed. SLOW And if you finally get your order, they literally complain about the tip they receive. Friend before me typed 20% and when he left, they complained about the tip. Later, when another friend ordered a **** Mary, she said it was the only one she got because “they are too hard to make” which was ironic because it tasted evil. They have good bands there and I like to feel the diver, but they need new employees who know how to run a bar and appreciate people who come to spend their money in their facility."

"When we first sat down, we were served salsa that seemed to just be poured out of a jar and was the worst salsa. I have visited this restaurant before and found that the main courses lacked flavor, the portions were small, and the food was very bland. It definitely did not resemble authentic Mexican cuisine, and I have had better Mexican food at Taco Bell."
