"From the moment you go, you are welcome as family. The atmosphere is like walking into the house of Abuelita, with cultural Mexican decor and the feeling of home with a touch of modern. We arrived at the second opening Sunday at 3:30 a.m. after the church rush and it was not full at all what is a good thing because the place is tiny and I am a little claustrophobic. As far as food is concerned, tell me I'd only go there for the chips and salsa every day out. They are homemade and lightly seasoned to perfection, with exactly the right amount of crunch without sacrificing your fillings. The salsa was not sharp enough for me, but it was tasteful, tasty and definitely not store bought from New York City! I was elated when our food was served on traditional Mexican dishes (is that even a word?? It was so cute and added a nice touch to the overall mood of the place. It was also all very nicely plated, not just lined on the plate. The portions were perfect to bring you to this full but not painful point, because it is so good that we all come easily there when more served. The man had the green chickens enchiladas with rice and beans again, not spicy, but VERY tasteful, authentic and definitely not canned stuff. I had the Menudo- it was clean, slim and totally fat-free - always a plus. Honestly, first I thought it was a bit spoiled, but I can just be pretensioned because I'm used to my mother's Menudo that can bring a person out of a coma. BUT, if you know how to use Menudo, and add the correct amount of Cilantro, lime, onions jalapeño pieces (which are provided with the dish, let it stand for a little bit, you will be pleasantly thrilled, my opinion definitely improved when I sneaked in Menudo Nirvana. We have our 2 years old the appetizer chicken quesadilla with guac- now, think my child will eat everything, but he gobbled this down as it does not tomorrow, and if your 2 years old makes satisfied mmm sounds during his meal, you know it must be so good. He also loved the chips when that tells you something. When I was asked for Dessert, I couldn't give up the Sopapillas, and I'm glad I didn't do it! Again, warm (not piping hot homemade to perfection with the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar on the top. I'm glad the neck kid was too busy playing to show me I'm breaking the 2 of myself. Our total amount was below $30, which is a good offer for quality and quantity. I love a clean decor and Senaida 's is nothing short, the floors, tables, bar, everything was immaculate. Our server came to check us and refill our drinks, but was not overlaid. The owner even came out to welcome us and ask how they did what is always nice to show them really care. Overall a great experience, I have no complaint and would definitely recommend to everyone."
