"The bartenders are hit or miss, mostly miss, but the patrons are consistent, in that anyone who comes up to you is an a$$hole. Lol. Wish I could tell of a different experience here, but I’ve been a few times now, and so far there’s been one male bartender, the one with long hair, who has a personality and is actually friendly. The other male bartender I’ve had may as well be a robot, because he doesn’t even say anything when you order, and I’ve literally been at other bars where people talk about his lack of personality and we all knew exactly who we were talking about despite not knowing his name. ? Especially if you’re there alone and it’s not that busy, the bartenders should make some conversation. The female bartender I had, Megan, served me last after everyone else at the bar, despite me waiting much longer than some, even after a guy who had just walked up 30s beforehand, who wasn’t polite enough to say that I’d been waiting before him. Bartenders should ask who’s next if they can’t keep track. She also responded oddly when I mentioned I was amazed she was the only one behind the bar (considering how extremely busy it was the first night of FIBArk), because she retorted something like “I think I’ve got it.” What I said wasn’t at all meant as a slight against her abilities, it was pointing out how difficult she had it…. Instead she chose to take it negatively and personally, which was silly since clearly we can all agree there’s a point where more than one bartender is needed, no matter how fast or skilled someone is. And the patrons… holy fvck, don’t go here if you’re a single female. The first time I went, I got descended upon by men so much older than age appropriate for me that they could almost be my grandpa. I also had some woman who’d been in the bathroom a while snap at me after she finally came out because I’d juggled the handle, which is something anyone would need to do to check if the door would open, especially if you’re there for the first time and don’t know it’s a one-holer (which is also way too small a restroom for the business they get). The second time there was live music and a guy sat right next to me and hurt my ear whistling as loud as he possibly could multiple times throughout every song, so much so that I moved to a different seat despite being there first. I can only imagine that the staff’s attitudes are a result of poor management, and the issues with patrons point to there not being enough staff to keep folks under control so people like me who are just there to enjoy a nice time can do so safely. With how busy this bar is and how late they’re open, they need a bouncer to make sure things stay reasonably under control. It’s too bad because the venue is pretty nice but it’s just not been a good time for me."
