"My friend and I had just left the train station and were walking towards the main square in Shauffhausen. We noticed an Italian restaurant that seemed quite busy usually a good sign. We decided to look at the menu, and once we saw that the restaurant made its own pasta fresh, and had a wood fired oven, we decided to stay for lunch. We ordered a Quattro stagioni pizza and a plate of homemade ricotta ravioli with sage, butter and fresh grated Parmesan. We had a wonderful server who brought our wines and was very attentive. Our meals arrived steaming hot. A fresh cut block of Parmesan, and a metal grater were brought to the table for our use. We were both very happy with our choices. My friend said her pizza was delicious with plenty of toppings, and was crispy and nicely toasted from the fire. My pasta was perfectly cooked, fluffy with ricotta, and the sage and butter sauce had a perfect blend of richness and tastiness. We had a large table beside the window where we could people watch on the pedestrian street. A wonderful lunch. Will definitely return to this restaurant if ever back in this cute, historic town. Service was great!"
