"Knettsetra delivers high-quality food and friendly service, no matter the season or how busy they are. My husband and I had lunch there today and sat outside on the terrace, as the weather was beautiful. On rainy or snowy days, I would recommend getting a table inside by the fireplace.
The menu is quite impressive, featuring everything from British fish and chips to Italian-inspired lunch dishes. However, my favorite—and highly recommended—item at Knettsetra is the rømmegrøt, a silky smooth porridge made in the traditional Norwegian way with sour cream, served with sugar, cinnamon, and cured meat alongside flatbread. It’s simply amazing! It’s so delicious that I often find it hard to choose something else.
Today, I was tempted by the moose sausage and mashed potatoes, while my husband had the porchetta sandwich, which was a feast for both the eyes and taste buds! Remarkably, the prices are quite reasonable as well.
Not to mention, the staff is very friendly, making us feel welcome every time we visit. It’s worth noting that Knettsetra is only open for lunch, but they occasionally host special events and gourmet evenings, so I keep an eye on their social media to stay updated. This is a family-friendly place, and dogs are also welcome.
