I really loved it! The digital ordering experience was excellent, as it was easy to use on their website and affordable with a digital wallet. Stopping for hot cocoa is a must during a day trip!

I've visited this restaurant several times during both the winter and summer seasons since 2019, and each experience has been increasingly disappointing. The ambiance is fine, but the food has consistently let me down. Our most recent visit will definitely be our last. We came in for lunch on a weekday and were served greasy, overly fried dishes that were difficult to cut. Even the Caesar salad was soaked in dressing. The Coke had no carbonation; it tasted like diluted water. The children’s portions lacked any vegetables—apparently, kids in this area don't need to eat their greens. Knettsetra delivers high-quality food and friendly service, no matter the season or how busy they are. My husband and I had lunch there today and sat outside on the terrace, as the weather was beautiful. On rainy or snowy days, I would recommend getting a table inside by the fireplace. The menu is quite impressive, featuring everything from British fish and chips to Italian-inspired lunch dishes. However, my favorite—and highly recommended—item at Knettsetra is the rømmegrøt, a silky smooth porridge made in the traditional Norwegian way with sour cream, served with sugar, cinnamon, and cured meat alongside flatbread.
