"I adore this place. Located at the gorgeous Westlake Village Inn, it sits before the lake, with seating inside the glamorous but rustic setting, or outside on the patio. I sat outside. The first thing you notice is the view. It’s breathtaking! And then I was distracted by basket of freshly baked crusty bread with olive tapenade. Light, yummy, and you’ll eat too much of it. And then I got bit by a goose. Wait, what? Yes, a goose. Geese and ducks from the lake come over to beg for food. Apparently if you go to give them food and don’t get it to them fast enough, they jump in your lap and bite you. However, the signs do say not to feed them, so I suppose that is entirely my fault. Service was good, but not great. It was timely in general, although there a few times when I noticed delays. Part of my order came in wrong, which I didn’t bother correcting, but it still annoyed me. The food, however, was wonderful. The setting is even more blissful. All and all, this may be my new favorite lunch spot."
