"I was a bit disappointed with this Olive Garden location. We used the Olive Garden app to get on the waiting list which said 25-35 minutes. It took us 30 minutes to get there and when my wife entered the restaurant and told them we were on the waitlist, they said that we still had a 20 minute wait. Then about a minute later, someone else called our name, saying that our table was ready, and then I get the text message saying the table was ready. Odd. Anyways we get seated and a waitress takes our drink order and then returns with breadsticks and our beverages. We order, and she brings us our salad and more breadsticks. As a new table is seated next to us, we enjoy our salad and all is well. Still waiting for our food, we ask for another bowl of salad and get that, since it's taking a while for our food. After about twenty minutes, the table next to us, who was seated ten minutes after us, receive their food, and we still waited ten more minutes for ours! Thank goodness for the extra salad, but that was odd about the order of food delivery. I should probably mention that the ice water tasted odd at this location, but I guess that may just be something with the city water supply. (I'd put a filter system on the water supply if it was my restaurant. Our food finally arrived and most of it was fine, but I wasn't really happy with mine. I had the Chicken and Shrimp Carbonara, and was not happy with the sauce. From the description and picture shown on the menu, I wasn't expecting the sauce to be basically a heavy alfredo sauce. There was so much of this sauce, it overpowered all of the flavors. I expected to taste the bacon and the roasted red peppers, but all I tasted was the ton of alfredo-like sauce. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals, so I was the only disappointed one. It was my daughter's birthday, and we told our server ahead of time, so after the meal, she brought out a nice dessert and said that they don't sing Happy Birthday anymore, and we should be glad, because they weren't good singers. But literally ten minutes earlier, another waitress had brought out dessert for one of their tables and the servers sang Happy Birthday for that person! Again, very odd that our waitress would say that. So, I was a bit disappointed and likely won't be returning to this Olive Garden location, when there are two others which are only five more minutes of driving for me."

"We recently moved back to West MI after a couple years away and we were looking for a date night restaurant.Mylan's was outstanding! we were able to sit out on the deck with a sunset view of White Lake. Our waitress, Skye, was pleasant and attentive and was not at all bothered that we were still finishing our dinner after closing. The menu was simple in layout and choices which is a bonus in my book since choosing good food from too many options is really hard!My husband and I split the BBQ Bacon Jam and Chicken wrap with onion rings and the Walleye Sandwich with seasoned fries to get a taste of several items on our first visit. The wrap had some heat to it. It was packed full but not sloppy or soggy. The coleslaw was crisp and delicious. We tried this even though it normally comes with fried chicken and they only had grilled. It was stellar with the grilled chicken. I think it would have been too crunchy with crispy chicken. So, if we reordered it we'd request grilled chicken again. The Walleye sandwich was my favorite of the night. The bun was soft and fluffy with just a slight crisp. I'm not a food expert but it reminded me of a Ciabatta bun. The homemade tartar was delicious. Not too tart or tangy and did not overpower the bite. The fish was crisp on the outside and flaky on the inside. The lettuce and tomato seemed fresh garden picked with the quality and texture. Truly an excellent sandwich! The fries were my preference over the onion rings. Some of the fries were a bit overseasoned. Otherwise, the seasoning was delicious. These fries certainly didn't need any additional dip though ranch cut the salty seasoning in some bites. Although battered, some of the onion rings were overdone, thin crisps that we did not eat.The only downside was they were out of brussel sprouts and that's my favorite dish to try at every restaurant. On the plus side, it is a reason to return soon and I'm looking forward to another fantastic experience!I'm sad I didn't get photos of the plates!"

"This is a pure trade off between value and taste. The portions could feed two or three people. But it's still cafeteria food. Green beans were overcooked and flavorless. Mac and cheese was extremely cheesy a good thing! but the Mac was overcooked. At least not gelatinous, though. Meanwhile, the lasagna was almost indistinguishable from the sauce it was so soft. But the sauce itself had good flavor, which was a plus. Beets looked like perfect balls, a bit like a smaller version of melon balls, but also with decent flavor, yet not too distinguishable from canned. The rolls were enormous and were good, but not too different from store bought. My stuffed chicken breast was tender. But, whether it was the gravy or not, too salty. And the dressing was also overcooked and understandably without any distinguishable celery. (And no, distinguishable isn't the word of the day it just seems like it. But it was rather large. The vanilla cake with frosting, though! If there were a reason to go back, that would absolutely be it (foodwise, anyway . Moist and delicious with a good frosting which wasn't overpoweringly sweet, it was the star of the show. [Untasted was a piece of sweet potato pie and a piece of strawberry pie. The former had no whip cream and it wasn't apparent whether one could ask for it or ice cream.]The service was really good. The lady and man behind the counter were quite friendly. And once you sit down, the server checks to see if you need anything. Extras, like a dessert you decide you want, can be paid at the table.Note: my 91 year old MIL loves this place."
