"What a great evening and meal from start to finish! We were a group of eight gathered to celebrate my son Ollie's 28th birthday. We were warmly greeted and shown to our long table (tip: book at least a few days in advance if you...can). The friendly and professional waiter recommended the Tasting Menu, which we agreed to. This was a decision we didn't regret for one moment. The food was excellent; tasty, varied, delicate, but with the occasional kick to satisfy those who enjoy the hotter end of the scale. The service was great, not least our main waiter, whose English was so good that he could even crack the occasional corny joke. And to top it off, Ollie was served a birthday dessert and given a chorus of Happy Birthday I'd have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Der Peppern Gror to friends and acquaintances."

"This is my unbiased opinion despite what people might think the food is very tasteful. I love the garlic chicken tikka, the biryani and the butter chicken with garlic naan. I also enjoyed the lamb curry which was divine! The mango lassi is lush! This place has the BEST lamb chops! There are lot of indian/Pakistani restaurants in Oslo, but most I have tried have a paste taste in the curry which doesn’t give it the authentic taste. You wouldn’t experience that here. Make sure you don’t have the mild version, if you can enjoy some heat then go for medium spice. Parking: Free parking after 8."

"I had dinner for one at Bombay Tandori. The restaurant is located towards the main street with a small terrace on the side where the main entrance is. If you chose a table on the terrace, you can see the harbor. The service was exceptionally friendly and the choice of food is, typical Indian, large. Next to vegetarian dishes, a variety of lamb, chicken, fish and dishes with shrimp are offered. I had the “Chef’s choice – grill plate” with rice and garlic naan – absolutely delicious. Spiciness is offered on a scale from 1 (mild) to 7 (hot, vindaloo). I like spicy food and selected “5”. The result was a lot of taste without hurting tongue or mouth. The restaurant is clearly a recommendation."

"collect us poppadums and dips and waitress mortified we were yogurt dip (as we are vegan) so replaced whole dish. we don't mind that we're doing well-separated dives, but we appreciate their thoroughness. I had bhajis for the starter and they were the best I ever tasted. my man was not right, but I just like to swirl, which weren't hailed, so that it was perfect for me. we had both channa masala main course and asked for additional spicy that was no problem for them at all. we have free coffee because we were so nice"

"Got a good review here on Google. My partner and I therefore chose to eat at Saray. We ordered a starter and a main course in the same order. The appetizer came pretty quickly. The tortillas we ordered were cold and the cheese was not properly melted. The salsa was cold and tough. We had only just started on the starter when the main course arrived. My entourage ordered plank steak and I ordered entrecôte. So no difference, they were served the same way. The entourage had added creamed potatoes. These he sent back when they were cold and they had a sour taste. Have. Got the offer if he wanted new cream potatoes or fries, so he took fries. The steak for the accompaniment was raw on the side that did not run down against the hot plate on which it was served and well cooked on the side that was facing down. It wasn't spicy, so I added salt and pepper in the hope that it was only what was wrong with the meat. It wasn't. The retinue did not eat their meat. He got pepper sauce for it, it tasted like Toro's. The entrecôte that I got was almost impossible to cut into as there was so much sinew, cartilage and other things. The vegetables were cold on one side and hot on the other. The bernaise I got tasted weird. I asked to order something else from the menu as there were 2 of us who were unhappy with the choice of steak, the waiter went to ask the chef and was told that we would then have to pay for the dish we did not eat in addition to the new one. We drank what we had in the glasses and paid for the food we hadn't eaten. We went to a fast food restaurant where the food was much better at a much cheaper price."

"Steer clear of ordering take away here, when I arrived at the estimated time to pick up the food I was told there was between 5-10 minutes left. Ended up being ignored for 20 minutes before I asked when the food was coming. They also said 5-10 minutes. Had an order somewhere else that I was also supposed to pick up by the time the food was supposed to be ready here. Ended up taking 45 minutes over time for the food to be ready. When I checked the order, 2 of the dishes I had ordered and paid for were missing. Ended up leaving frustrated that it took so long, they offered a rice as consolation for taking so long. The food I had ordered at the other place got cold before I had a chance to pick it up. "My wife and I stayed served by a man (the manager) in a blue headdress and a younger man. The manager recommended a dish to me for SEK 265. I didn't want too strong, agreed on medium. Plus Indian beer. He served them both a large beer. Two glasses were filled. The younger waiter brought the plates. Had two in hand. He dropped one on the table, which knocked the beer out so that it splashed all over me. The beer spilled onto the table and onto my clothes. The T-shirt was wet from the belly down. The pants got wet all over the front. The manager brought a cloth. Neither of them said anything. No excuse, strange. When we were about to pay, the manager said nothing. I said they should make a deduction for my wet clothes. He didn't want that and said, the waiter was new. I said, You're the boss. He did not want to make any deduction. Unbelievably BAD! The food only had one taste. Grilled lamb and rice. And was very strong. My wife's food went not to eat, tasteless and way too strong."
