"I had never eaten at a food truck before due to my horrible anxiety over food. My wife has been trying to get me to go for years, as and tells me frequently how much i am missing out on. Finally decided last Thursday was going to be the day. We went down to the Beaverton food pod at the rise. I walked around the perimeter for a good 30 minutes gauging cleanliness of the carts, who had the most business, what was on the menu. Finally passed by Altengartz and was immediately put at ease by how open, clean and fresh everything looked. They give away free samples of the bratwurst if you want to give it a try. The bratwurst was delicious. It was juicy and not overly salty. You can add individual toppings sauerkraut, onions, garlic, and cheese. The fries were below average. Frozen crinkle cut fries.

Very tasty, but not $15 tasty. Bring your own drink and save. Better yet buy a pound and cook and add the condiments yourself. Gave me one small napkin for two Brats and German Potato Salad. I did not see a place to wash my hands. Guess I should have tipped if I wanted to give them my business. Why do they need a tip? It's an overpriced food cart. No bathroom. Sharing a table if you're lucky to get one. Still restaurant prices.
