The steak was incredibly tender, and the onion rings were deliciously crispy—what a great combination! I also had a sausage sandwich, along with steak, mushrooms, wobbly bits, and bell pepper, all without cheese. It was a fantastic meal!

The cheese steak sandwiches were decent, but the cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. I found a long hair in my food, which was quite off-putting. Additionally, the prices were not clearly advertised; my sandwich was listed as around $12 on the menu, but I ended up paying $18. That's quite a significant increase. I probably won't be returning anytime soon due to the dirty environment and high prices.

I often go to san jose because I have family there and every time I go to san jose, I try to visit amatos käsesteaks. I felt guilty first. I felt like I'd go against my philadelphia friends. but amato will put a cheese steak equal if not better than many places that have big cheese steaks. if they want a normal cheese steak, they must order the shorty. the half is about 12 inches long and the full size. Yes, it's like 2 meters long! one of my sons will insist that I return and amatos käsesteak to Texas when he hears that I go. Look, it is in a strip-mall, the atmosphere is nothing to write home, but eating is amazing!
