"I was visiting a friend in Bad Durkheim for the annual Wurstmarkt, when we visited this restaurant on her recommendation. The restaurant looks like a house on the outside, but upon entrance, there is parking space for a couple of cars. We dined al fresco,...in a pretty garden with grapevines twirling down from the trellises above, watching the sun as set. It was an idyllic experience that one simply does not get in the city. The interior of the restaurant was quaint, quiet and comfortable. There were a choice booths for seating and tables and chairs. What really was helpful were the menus in English, as I do not speak much German. I ordered the Rumpsteak mit Pfifferlinge a rump steak with c...

We had the most delicious meal, the little restaurant is very homely with good quality home cooked food which is to an excellent standard, even though we don't speak GErman the lady speaks English rather well and menus are also translated into English! Best beer...I've had since my trip to Amsterdam! A must for anyone looking for a good quality evening meal. We will be coming back for more before we leave

Was searching on tripadvisor for some good eats in Germany, and came upon the many good reviews online about this place! True to the words of many, this restaurant serves excellent quality home cooked food. Let me have a taste of the true German everyday...food. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend the chicken chop, and of course MUST HAVE the good old German beer! Worth the trip, and the calories

WE were staying at a hotel in ludwigshafen and decided to venture out of the hotel. The Backstubb is hidden away and looks like a house from the front in a residential area, but dont be fooled there is parking for a couple of cars...to the side by the garden. We were warmly welcomed, and if like us you struggle with your german they speak some English which was good, Food is good german home cooked with a twist and the beer and wine are great, Traditional atmoshere would recommend if passing through and bored of the hotels

"After a very long time we had to go to Sushi again. We still knew Kaoru, but in the old premises in Q, hidden behind a passage. For a few years the restaurant has been sitting on Goethestraße and has increased. Saturday afternoon, still reserved online. The form asks where to sit. Selected Sushibar. At last, we are here. Be welcomed and I mention the reservation. She points to the bar, but at the same time says that we can sit where we want. There was enough space everywhere. Probably she was watching our asking looks when we saw the sushibar. After all, we still had the bar with waterway in front of us....This was always the attraction of the Kaoru that the ships were on one way over and could be operated. There was also a bit of overash effect. We had experienced it before. All right, so we sat at the bar. With the back to the street and in front of us the chefs prepared eager sushi. The ingredients are behind curved glass. The cooks served, depending on what they needed. Something interesting. We got the menus. Sushi in several variants are available. Dessert. Beer. We took all warm Sake and Asahi beer. I tried the Rainbow Roll, 8 reels with tuna, salmon, cancer, white fish. The Maki Set and the Beginner Set were ordered. Price between 10 and 18.50 Euro. When ordering, I asked if there is no more waterway. Unfortunately no, she said, and regretted it very much. After the reasons, we didn't ask them. The drinks came to the place. The Sake was very warm. The sushi came very soon after, at the same time for everyone. It looked appetizing and actually like the picture on the map. It tasted good too, all right. The payment was then somewhat lengthy, because none of the services were to be seen or it appeared only briefly between the tables. It's been a little. A family came in when we left. The first question of the great son to serve: have you changed? He also missed the waterway...."
